The location is a short walk from downtown Saugatuck. It has access to a pool (we came while it was closed so can't speak to its quality). The property was very clean and it worked very well with so many bathrooms and bedrooms. It was also nice that the upstairs and downstairs had their own thermostats as the upstairs was quite warm when we first arrived. We ended up not using the hot tub as it was located in an odd location and you have to walk outside to the side of the house and then your view was pretty much the parking lot. We really appreciated that there were two fridges to store our food and beverages. With a large group, this made it easy to fit anything without having to play tetris.Communication was not best I've experienced. I used the message function in VRBO to try to contact the host about what type of coffee machine was in the house. No one answered the message for over a day so I ended up using the email address listed in the guide. This did get a response faster. Also, the documentation for the proper had conflicting information. One document states there is only 5 parking spots available, but the other states 6. Luckily the one stating 6 spots was correct. The property is currently up for sale and our weekend was interrupted by a realtor coming to the house to do a showing while we were there. The realtor came into the house, even when she saw that people were occupying it. While she was apologetic, she made it seem like WE were the inconvenience.
We traveled with a mixed generation group and this house worked out perfectly. It was nice having bedrooms & bathroom on the main floor for early rising grandparents, a separate tv room for kids while adults enjoyed the main living space. Enough beds & bathrooms for our group of 11. We could not beat the location! Close enough to go on morning walks, pick up to-go for a meal, but set just off the busy path. The absolute bonus was access to the community pool. It kept the kids occupied and happy.
Stayed with 7 colleagues for a work retreat. Everyone had their own room, plus we had lots of space to brainstorm and work on projects. We were close to the beach and town for meals, shopping and fun. A great location for us!
We had 14 staying for the weekend and the house was laid out perfectly. Everyone enjoyed the large front porch and the huge dining table where we could all be together but there was enough space for us to spread out for some quiet too. The pool was fantastic. Parking in downtown Saugatuck can be a nightmare. It was wonderful to be able to walk downtown.
We loved this house! It was clean, beautifully decorated and wonderfully spacious for our large group. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked most of our meals there. The location was great, walkable to downtown Saugatuck and close to all of the fun things we did together. The manager was very responsive to questions. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again.
Wow! We had a wonderful time here for a family celebration. Great location, plenty of room, and super areas to enjoy visiting, playing games, and eating meals together.
Highly recommended !!
this home had a great location and lots of space for a big group. The rooms and bathrooms were nicely updated. The bedding could use upgrading, and it is warm in the upstairs bedrooms on a hot evening, but we loved the place and were very happy.
Overall great stay, and great location. Inside the house was conscious and clean with everything you need, but not much room for outdoor activity with parking spacing being a problem if you have over 6 cars. Host was great with communication.
The property is ideal for a large group or, in our case, a family reunion. With people coming together from all over the country, the house has plentiful spaces to relax and visit, as well as eat together. We had all our meals "at home" and found the house well stocked with plates, utensils and glasses. And it's nice having a couple of bedrooms on the ground floor for older family members. The location is convenient for walking or driving to town. We had a great reunion and 90th birthday celebration.
We had a great time with our reunion. The house was nearly perfect with comfortable beds, towels, and good AC. They even had a deviled egg tray and cake stand. My only suggestion would be a big pasta pot.
Great place, could walk to town, pool and lake access.
We loved the pool and lake access. It was a bit of a walk to town but doable. The unit did not have washer and dryer though. Customer service was good in that they always called back to answer our questions. The house was very clean and cute. The one fridge didn't really get cold, but the one in the kitchen worked well. There also wasn't a griddle, but other pans and kitchen tools or utensils. We liked our stay!
We had a great stay at the house. Lots of space and room for our group. The kitchen was stocked well. Great location- could easily walk to downtown Saugatuck for shopping and restaurants. Lake Michigan beach was short drive way. Lovely community pool overlooking the lake and private hot tub. The outdoor table and patio and large grill was an enjoyable place to cook and eat outside. We also enjoyed the screened porch.
The property is beautiful and the location is perfect! Everything is as advertised. From check-in to check-out, everything was super easy. This was the perfect space for a large group of friends to spend the fourth of July.
