The property was great. Lots of amenities. Kitchen was fully stocked to cook for large groups. Couches were a bit "lived in". Directions and address was a nightmare. Check-in instructions, listing and google location had 3 different addresses and it took 3 people over 45 min to find the house at night. A simple pin drop would have done wonders. Or street names instead of turn at the pink house. 3 different map apps give 3 different locations then add to this different address on the listing and the check-in instructions. These locations were on opposite sides of the lake. Same house number but different street names. None of which match the street signs.

This place has it all, it was our family of 13' s dream vacation! From the moment we walked in til the day of checkout all went smooth. The views and multilevel gathering areas, the game room, the giant master bath n bedroom w/attached hot tub porch gave us all such enjoyment. Ages 1 yo to 77 yo had a great week. The paper supplies and stuff to get ya started was a big plus as well. The Brown Family

Family getaway

This beautiful home had plenty of space for our family of seven. It rained the first two days and was cool and windy the third day, so we were unable to use the outside amenities. We did have a good time with the pool table, foosball, chess, shuffleboard and the hot tub, as well as just hanging out and spending time together. This was our first visit to Saugatuck. It's a nice little town.

The house was beautiful. Plenty big for our large family. The weather was beautiful, we lucked out. Shopping in downtown Saugatuck was an extra bonus. The only negative was the beach. It was over grown with weeds and dirty.

A Wonderful stay at SaugaBuck House

Everything was just perfect! We had such a wonderful stay and can't say enough about the property. It was everything we hoped for and more! So wide open, beautiful, well stocked, near town, lots of fun on the lake with fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. For our family of 13 we had plenty of room and the cottage was a major plus! The views on every level were gorgeous and our time outdoors on the decks was peaceful and/or festive. Lots of room to spread out! We loved cooking in and enjoying our evenings on the property. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful Landscape

We had a wonderful family reunion with 13 adults and 3 toddlers. There was more than enough space to spread out and large rooms if we wanted to share time together. The house is beautifully decorated and many windows overlooked the fabulous deck and lake area. Beds were super comfy. We took advantage of the in house chef one night. Quite the feast ! Our family took advantage of all activities the house provided: game room, kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit ( be award of chiggers down by the lake, would recommend bug spray ). The kitchen was well stock with the all the basic needs. We highly recommend.

Family vacation

The property is beautiful and the owners have though through details to make the stay easy. Things are very well marked. The setting is great. Your are also 1.7 miles or so from the cute downtown area, 10 minutes from the national park and about same distance to Lake Michigan. There are bath robes in the rooms, hot water with good pressure, impressive kitchen equipment and tons of room to space out. Only negative is that google maps doesn't find the place and the pin (if it takes you to google maps) also doesn't take you to the right place. We had to download apple maps and take a third pass in RV to get there.

Family Vacation 2022

Beautiful and spacious. Kitchen is well appointed with all the necessities for cooking a great meal. Coffee and snacks were a nice touch. Lots of activities to keep those teens busy while the adults relax and take in the view or have a day exploring nearby interests.

SaugaBuck House

An excellent property!! Communication with upscalelakeshore.com was excellent. Their guidelines for rental and use of the property are excellent. We utilized their concierge services to hire a photographer and a chef to help us celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren. The property is located on the Kalamazoo River. SaugaBuck House has a boat house complete with three kayaks and two paddle boards. Our grands enjoyed their time on and in the water. This property has an excellent kitchen and was well stocked with appliances and basic cooking supplies. Three kitchens are available, two in the main house and one in the guest house. We enjoyed the multilevel decks. I would highly recommend this property for those wanting to enjoy the Kalamazoo River, Silver Lake and Lake Michigan.

Great for large family gatherings

We are a family of 12, made up of 8 adults and 4 children between the ages of 17 and 10. This house was conveniently located to town and had a lot of space to accommodate all of us in the evenings and the during the days. It had the right mix of group space and pockets for individual escape.

Perfect Family Getaway

Perfect Family Vacation!

This beautiful home, space & location was absolutely perfect for our large family (16 people + 1 dog) vacation celebrating my in-laws 50th Anniversary! Plenty of comfortable space, clean, and idyllic outdoor space. Beautifully decorated and pet/child-friendly. We enjoyed cooking home meals, fishing off the private dock, and drinking coffee on the balconies with a picturesque view of the river. Easy non-contact check-in/out process was greatly appreciated. Easy drive to Downtown Saugatuck & Oval Beach, as well as plenty of golf courses to play on nearby. Very clean, comfortable, and wonderful home & guest cottage. Highly recommend this great place!
