Wonderful pet friendly family ran - they live on site. Very clean, accommodating stay, holiday weekend and they didn't jack up their prices. Had to stay a night longer, and even they were full, they made it work. Better stay than the last 3 star hotel I stayed at Will be back...
Our visit was great! As other guest stated, bathroom is small. But it works and is clean.
Beds were really really comfy. The bbq area with tables was super. Coffee, ice microwave. Perfect.
Staff could not be more hospitable . Watched 4 July parade from property . Location very convenient to our activities.
Be happy to stay again.
After checking in we were told where to park so that we wouldn't block the tent with the golf cart. The golf cart tent seems to be a very big deal with the employees. I would move it so it is not an issue. The power strip that the tv was plugged into (behind the cabinet) was not turned on so the tv wouldn't turn on. Took awhile to figure out. The TV would not turn on/off with the remote. Volume could not be adjusted with the remote either. The refrigerator was turned off and not plugged in so even though I turned it on inside it didn't cool off until I figured out that it was unplugged. This should be ready and cold when guests check in. The toilet leaked with every flush (luckily into the bowl) because someone tried to fix a crack and didn't do it well. The seat was also ready to fall off. If you are not going to have housekeeping for people with multiple night stays then you should give a discount for the nights with no service. The window sill in the bathroom was filthy. When it gets cold I can't believe that the little electric heater provided will keep the room and bathroom warm. You are competing against the big chain motels and I think you are losing the race.
It is an older motel that they are doing a good job making comfortable and clean. Definitely worth staying at given the price compared to the larger hotels in the area. Beds were pretty comfortable.
I love the Budget Host Crestview Inn and have stayed there whenever I go to the Soo. This has been an ideal place to stay because it's close to downtown and it's affordable. The problem is that the place is really showing its age now (and I would have described it as old a decade ago). It's clean and the beds are decently comfortable, but it's so old and they desperately need to upgrade appliances. The air conditioner/heater was squeaky in a way that suggests it's on its last leg and we couldn't even run it because of the high pitched noise it made. It got really humid in the room but I'm glad it wasn't winter because that would have been more challenging to deal with. The plug on the mini fridge was missing part of the outer casing so you could see the wires inside. I think this might have been my last time staying here until they start doing upgrades.
The AC worked, but only on high, so it was pretty loud. Actually did sleep well with the loud drone of the AC though. The mattress was not great. Check out staff was great and the room was clean and tidy.
