It was awesome!!! Plenty of room & the CD player was a plus that we could hear it outside as well!! Was a birthday get together for a close friend & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & had every kitchen utensil/appliance we needed!! Thanks for a great stay!!
I have vacationed at several different VRBOs throughout Georgia and this home was the nicest- really beautiful layout, updated kitchen, gorgeous views, good sized bedrooms, great game basement area. However, there is a major issue with the listing stating âwireless internetâ- because even though there is, the connectivity is absolutely terrible and not useable. My husband had several important work zoom calls and messages to send, which he could not achieve. The only available TV is streaming so you cannot also watch anything if someone is trying to get work done (or even trying to look up something as simple as the weather or check emails). I called for assistance and the best help I was able to get was âunplug the router and replug itâ which helped when we were completely kicked off but did nothing to actually make it a useable speed to get any work done. This is a great place to escape if you want to unplug and disconnect, which is how it SHOULD be advertised, but for a very tired mom who had to keep her kids busy on a rainy spring break day while her husband was desperately trying to get a connection to do work, I regretted this booking. The driveway is also quite the challenge if you have a large SUV.
Really loved the place! Unfortunately, it rained the whole short time we were there, so didn't get to enjoy the hot tub. The beds were just a little uncomfortable, but other than that it was fabulous!
We had a great time. The house was really nice and comfortable. Check in was simple. The view was pretty and the hot tub was amazing!
I really have no complaints but would like to mention that on the top deck there are a few boards with soft spots.
Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this house.
It was not as clean as I expected it to be. It was surface clean but there was still dog hair on the carpet and filth in the couch and under the couch. The cabinets had food on them and the cabin itself was leaning, also not in the description. I was disappointed with the view.
Beutiful cabin with plenty of entertainment options in the home. Cabin patio and property could use some love. Several rotten boards in the patio are a potential safety risk. Fire pit had no stairs leading to area dangerous when slick from rain, drive way and road to cabin are pretty sketchy.
At first, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the house given pets (up to 2) were allowed. The location is OK but nothing special. We got there Sunday afternoon to find a note from the maintenance person saying that the kitchen lights were not working. He will pick up a switch and come to replace the next day and left a phone number. Also, the photos show 4 dining chairs. There were only 3 for our party of 4 (there were only 2 bar stools at the kitchen counter) so one of us cannot sit with the family comfortably at mealtime. I called and texted Monday morning and was told that Vacasa will call the local office and let me know when the 2 issues will be resolved. Monday came and went... Tuesday am... I tried to contact the local office of Vacasa, and the maintenance person at the phone number that he left. No updates, no resolution. I was forced to cook in the dark Sun, Mon, and Tues. I asked for a supervisor. Tuesday 9 pm, the night manager, Kristin at the main office in Oregon called. She was very nice but she, too, had problems getting answers (We rented the place to celebrate Thanksgiving and needed the lights to cook and the chair to be able to enjoy a nice family dinner). On Wednesday, we left the cabin around 12:00 pm and nothing had been fixed and no chair. When we got back around 5:00 pm, we found the kitchen lights fixed (with the old switch left on the kitchen counter) and a broken chair along with another broken chair with a lamp on it and some light bulbs. I was told that the company is willing to credit me the cleaning fees, which in itself is insulting gesture but even better, it is now 2 weeks and no credit has been given. It is now a joke so I texted Vacasa (which is apparently their preferred mode of communication) and was told that they will look into it. As I am writing this review, no credit nor answer has been given.
Amazing property lots of room. Close to Helen easy to get to driveway is a bit tricky but there are options quiet peaceful great for big families, budget friendly. We will definitely be back
My husband and I are extreme sports enthusiast. After arriving on a Saturday, I called the management company because we could not connect to the TV and spoke to Jasmine who said she would call back ASAP. Never received a call so I called her back. She denied ever speaking with me. A little later I called and spoke with Jeremy. He promised he would call back, never did. After waiting several hours I called back and spoke to Hector. He was very professional and very helpful and called the local management company. The manager called and we set an appt for Sunday am. The owner disconnected the TV service and did not inform the mgmt company so we had no TV all week unless you had a Rouku account. Also, it was stated we had a private hot tub. After a day of exploring water falls, we got in the tub only to see a truck drive by approx 100 feet from the tub. The tub could also be seen from the house on the hill above us. With this being said, The house is nice.
This is the perfect Helen get away cabin. The quarters were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Do bring you bathing suit for the hot tub that overlooks beautiful fall foliage.
Some helpful tips are to being toiletries such as soap and shampoo. We always bring ours, but be sure to remember your own. Also, heed the warning and opt for a 4x4 vehicle if you have one available. Otherwise, take it slow and easy on the driveway.
The internet, TVs, and game room were all great. We had four adults and two children, and it was fun and relaxing for everyone. I highly recommend this place.
This was the perfect spot to get away from everything for a little while! The cabin was so spacious and we never ran out of things to do. The paved road is very steep so I would suggest coming with the intent of cooking instead of coming and going for food. But the view was absolutely gorgeous!
We loved this nice cabin getaway for my birthday weekend. Very nice, clean, and great accommodations. Tons of towels and wash rags. My boys loved the tree house, tire swing, game room, and hot tub. It was close to town but nice and secluded. I do wish they had extra remotes and batteries to the other TVs, also there was trash around the property but I don't believe it was the hosts fault, just the bears that had probably dragged it off. We would definitely stay there again!
The property and view is amazing. There are a few things that could use fixing like the stove top and the pull out couch was broken but overall it was nice. Also there were doors that were locked that we didnât understand why so clarifying that prior would have been good. Extremely close to downtown Helen which was awesome.
We absolutely loved our stay. Very spacious, wonderful game room, clean hot tub, and even had a tire swing and treehouse! The driveway was a little difficult to navigate, but after a few tries, it was fine. Very quiet location!
5- star review! Very Clean, Nicely furnished, All accessories included, View is Spectacular, Immediate contact with company/owner. The owner even added an App on the Roku for us to watch the SEC Championship game! Customer service 5-stars! Game Room fully furnished. Hot Tub clean and working. Easy access to entry. Paved road up the mountain until you reach the actual road turn-off. Dirt road with pot holes to cabin, so you need a 4-wheel drive or heavy-duty SUV. Round about driveway, so you park right in front of the cabin. We will definitely book again and recommend to others!
The cabin photos offered alot of promises that weren't met. The couch in the pictures has been "recovered" in outdoor fabric, cushions slid off every time we sat on it and it is the only livingroom furniture available. If you are happy sitting at the dining room table, ok, but there us no other place to sit. The mattresses are sagging and most other furniture has a "second-hand" worn out look. ( not shabby-chic, if you get my drift) It is pet friendly and that is what we always choose. It smelled more "pet friendly" that I expected. The positive point is that the host came immediately to shampoo the bottom floor carpets to help but ultimately, it didn't. Save your money and find a different house. This one definitely needs more TLC before it should be a rental, and we have rented cabins in Helen, as well as North Wilksboro and Blowing Rock, NC and have had much more pleasant experiences elsewhere.
