Beautiful hotel in the north historic district. Comfortable beds. Location is walkable to many sites. Terrific restaurant and bar next door (Repeal 33). Wonderful and friendly staff.

We stayed for three nights. There was no housekeeping service. When we checked out, only one elevator was in service. It took over 30 minutes to get our luggage to our car. One day we were driven from our room by a false fire alarm that blared for over an hour. The availability of certain food items at breakfast was spotty. The phone in our room didn't wok. The refrigerator in our room didn't work. The overhead light in our room didn't work.

Great location, close to all the sites we wanted to visit. I let the front desk know that our toilet was running, the coffee pot did not work and there was no soap in the shower dispenser. They did give us a new bottle of shower soap but did not address the other 2 issues even though we told them about the problems early on in our stay.

This was honestly a pretty bad experience for what I paid. The hotel feels poorly run overall. Most of the front desk staff were okay, but one person (I think her name was Dottie) was rude and not helpful at all. I ordered room service and got a confirmation, but no one ever showed up. I eventually had to reach out hotel management for this. The breakfast was very basic and crowded. The only real upside was the location, which is convenient. I could tell some of the staff were really trying, but even so, for the price, it just wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. One more thing: the valet parking felt very pushy. I’d read enough reviews to skip it and used public parking instead, which was way cheaper ($12–15 a night). If you stay here, definitely don’t use the valet.

Great location if you want to explore the RiverWalk area of Downtown. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel was clean. The breakfast always included eggs, meat, and waffles. There was oatmeal and bread/bagels available.

Ideal for a low-key New Year’s escape. Location is unbeatable—strolled to City Market bars and the river fireworks without driving. Hotel room felt modern and peaceful after the crowds. Staff was friendly; valet handled our car smoothly (pricey but worth it for no hassle). Enjoyed the outdoor fire pits for a quiet toast at midnight from the hotel side. Breakfast saved us the next day. Great value for a couple’s getaway—highly recommend!

Review draft (firm & honest): I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel due to the front desk staff and management. Their behavior came across as disrespectful and unprofessional, and as a person of color, I did not feel welcomed or treated with basic courtesy. The attitude and lack of professionalism were consistent enough to be concerning. That said, I want to give credit where it’s due: the housekeeping team and the breakfast staff were excellent. They were polite, hardworking, and did their jobs well. Unfortunately, the issues with the front counter staff and management overshadowed the positives. I strongly believe the hotel needs to reassess its staffing and management approach if they want to provide a respectful and inclusive experience for all guests. At this time, I would not recommend staying here.
