Website misleading in amenities: No spa, no bar/lounge, no restaurant, no onsite parking except valet $35/night; need to request everything from front desk, including housekeeping (make up bed, trash removal, fresh towels, ) if you don’t specifically ask, it doesn’t get done; no vending machines or ice machine; safe in room didn’t work and demagnetized room key; had a guest COCKROACH spend the night with me
None of this disclosed at check in, no literature in room to explain to guest, “they should have told you” but they didn’t, until I checked out and voiced my concerns. I was shocked at $70 valet parking charge…my car was parked in city parking structure right across the street…i could see it from my bed. Staff at desk nodded as he typed, but expressed no concern to my comments other than he would tell “them”; to date I have heard nothing from the hotel other than to receive notice that my card (what you see is what you pay, no hidden fees or charges) had been charged for the valet parking. I don’t mind paying for valet parking, but $70 to park the car upon arrival and bring to front door as I left.
I booked due to description as “boutique” hotel, and since I was having some personal issues, thought I might feel pampered…I would have done as well at Motel 6.
Am looking forward to seeing this posted in the reviews…I cannot be the only guest who had such a poor experience, not to mention lack of communication from the property
