Cabin was exactly as advertised. Nice quiet spot on Plum Lake. We honestly did not spend much time here, there was a larger group of ours up at Star Lake, but we enjoyed it while here. Only issue with the place was my GF thought the mattresses were very lumpy and in need of updating (I thought they were OK).
The property was great! A bit of old and new decor. Nice furnishings. Three season porch was awesome. Great to have a W/D on site. Beds were comfy. The fire feature and Adirondack chairs between the cabins was really nice. The sunsets were amazing. Very "homey" feel to the property. The pics make it look like easy access to the dock but you have to walk a way to get to it. Still nice to have available. Enjoyed the time there.
Listing did not specify that there is another cabin right next door which is rented out also, in which both cabins share the firepit & pier. Didnât even have a campfire due to firepit not being by cabin we rented.
Cabin and grounds are awesome! Dock is shallow for large boat+hidden sand bar in bay. But very Nice!
We really enjoyed the location on this "far" end of Plum Lake. Nice and quiet, you're set pretty far back on the hill but you still have a fine view of lake through the trees. Cabin is well cared for, clean, nice furniture, good plumbing. Both an open deck and screened porch which is nice. We'd like to see more cooking utensils and flatware; but for two people we got by just fine. Had to buy charcoal for grill but it's in good shape. No electric at dock, so charging the trolling motor required some extra steps. Very shallow for deep v fishing boat early summer. Overall, very nice property and easy contact with manager. We'll be back.
We absolutely loved our beautiful stay on Plum Lake! The views were amazing and the cabin was perfect! Our property host, Rob is always amazing and helpful if needed!
Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. View was fantastic. It was a fishermanâs beach- not good for swimming. Weather was poor but found lots to do in the area so enjoyed our stay very much.
Nice little 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage on the east end of Plum Lake. Great deck with lake view! Extremely clean and cozy, super quiet area! This cottage sits between two other rental properties ( a large house and another cottage very similar to the one I stayed in) and has a shared pier and shared fire table and fire pit with the other cottage. There was no one at the other cottage when I stayed but something to be noted if you want your own privacy.
Pier location was in a bay of the lake, nice wildlife area, muskrat, loon, dragonflies, great blue heron.
Kayaking at this end of the lake was great, quite a bit of shoreline that is untouched.
Our stay on Plum Lake was an amazing one. We canoed morning, noon and night. The fire pit was nice in the evening and weâre so close to all the action of the towns (if thatâs your thing). Lot of wildlife to enjoy such as eagles, turtles, frogs and countless birds. The cabin is as perfect and well stocked to make meals at home. Beautiful and peaceful piece of paradise.
This is the second year my wife and I stayed at this cabin. We come up for Cranberry Fest and stay the week. Locals are genuine and friendly. Great places to dine weather you want a burger or fish or even a steak dinner. If your looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful views this is the place.
Beautiful views from deck, screened porch, and living room. Updated kitchen, comfy furnishings, cozy and inviting. Secluded but close to everything. Plum Lake is the best. Highly recommended!
Had a great family vacation. Rob was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful. Was surprised how close the next cabin was to ours. Would definitely stay again and maybe have another family member rent cabin next door.
The cabin was clean. Appliances were new. Beautiful lake. Enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to have a kayak available without the hassle of rental. Rob is helpful.
This was perfect for what we were looking for, a cozy cabin on beautiful plum lake. We had no issues, pretty well stocked. The dock was around the corner and couldnât be seen from the house and was in a mucky part of plum lake but canât fault the owner for that. Large house next door was pretty close and they had a ton of people over while we stayed (13 cars) but weâre generally quiet. Hereâs the kicker⊠we realized we parked our car under an old rail station for Plum Lake dating back before WWII. You can see the old R/W heading west and was pretty cool to stay at a place that had such historical value to the area, and as a train buff I was especially geeked up about this. We had a beautiful sunset one night too. Would recommend for its great value.
Property was great! Details listed were all accurate. Beds on the small size for a tall person but they were comfortable. Quiet setting on a nice lake. Great sunsets!
Great cozy cabin with amazing sunset views over lake
Cabin was clean, comfortable with nice bedrooms and full kitchen. Great sunset views from the living room overlooking the lake and down by the dock too.! We had a few concerns that were promptly addressed by the property manager and owner. We really enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at this cozy cottage. It was comfortable, well-equipped, impeccably clean, and has the most beautiful sunset view over the lake! The owner, Debra, was super-friendly and overly accommodating. A great location for a Northwoods getaway. We'll be back!
My wife and I had rented this cabin in the fall of 2021 for a vacation getaway. I have to say that this cabin is amazing for a couples getaway or small family vacation. The owner and gentleman that takes care of this cabin weâre fantastic and gave us input on places to go and awesome foodie spots. Great place and worth every penny. Look forward to another stay in the future.
