Lovley Hotel, Lovley Location, parking on side streets around the Hotel and they will give you a permit to park. Nice stroll into Scarbourgh from the Hotel.
Staff friendly.
Description was accurate in respect of the distance to the town.
Cleanliness was good.
Provided a fan which was needed in the warm weather.
Property old and dated. Mattress was worn and as a consequence sloped at the sides giving the feeling that you were going to fall/ slide of it if not in the centre.
One plug socket in the whole room so unable during warm weather to use or charge other electrical devices.
Reception only open during peak times 10.30am till 8 pm where access to the drinks fridge was unavailable .
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room clean and fresh, but the facilities were not great - no plug socket near the bed for a bedside light, a tiny TV with an indoor aerial that wasn't very good, a single-glazed sash window that was hard to open and close, and a very small en suite with the sink in the bedroom. There was no breakfast included so I felt the price of ÂŁ55 per night for one person was too high considering these issues.
If you are on a budget then staying here is what your wallet would recommend. We just needed a bed for one night so it was OK. There are no frills with this old building it is just a room only basis so no breakfast or bar facilities. You do get a kettle in your room and a selection of teas and coffees. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours and the floor below. This hotel has potential if the owners can put some more tlc into it as they are very nice people and deserve a chance in this very challenging business.
Have stayed at Marine Residence a few times and we find it to be a lovely hotel.
Always a warm welcome here and very helpful staff.
Rooms are well kept, comfortable beds, good room temperatures and nice fluffy towels.
Thankyou for another lovely stay Dee and we shall be booking to return in summer âșïž
This Hotel is not strongly signed as Marine Residence so would recommend people take note of the image online so they know what they are looking for. Modern, clean rooms in a great location. Only real grumble would be that the mattress and pillows frlt poor quality which lead to a bit of a restless night.
That being said there will certainly be worse out there.
I chose the hotel as it was reasonably close to the Spa. The single room was fairly basic but had adequate facilities.Fresh towels etc..were provided and the TV and wi-fi were fine.
I was disturbed on Sunday early morning by knocking on doors and coughing.
I can't fault the accommodation, the room we had was huge!!
It was very clean, nicely decorated and only a short walk to the beach front and all amenities.
A great place for a family to stay.
Staff friendly and helpful, great location near beech and shops near Ramshill, rooms individually decorated, some better than others but all clean and very good value for money.only missing element would be the addition of a small fridge and hot water in sink never warmed up
The room was lovely and big great for a family of 5 but was disappointed that I wasnât told before there was a charge of ÂŁ10 for a blow air bed, I would have brought my own. Few squeaky floorboards but all in all lovely.
We felt the hotel was overpriced for its condition (a little tired, windows that wouldn't shut, noise from above and the front door, no hot water) and service offering (only one set of keys for a family of 4, the lift was broken and no breakfast facilities). The beds were a little firm and the room too warm, overall the hotel was clean and relatively close to local amenities.
