Les points forts : Propreté
Couple in our 60s for 3 nights for a local wedding. It's an unusual place. It is located on a property that used to be "Storybook Land". We think that the guest house was probably the welcome center/office. It has a big wrap around porch, (lovely view) the doors open into a great room that contains the kitchen, living room, and dining room - all furnished with with dried flowers/plants EVERYWHERE and lots of Americana country/patriotic accents. Log furniture, and a corrugated metal ceiling, and lots of handmade/folk touches â carvings and decor... it was fascinating and obviously put together with a great deal of care and effort. A lovely little sitting porch off the Master bedroom. The bathroom is huge, lots of hot water. The dining table would sit at least 10 people; and there is another kitchen table, too. Beds were comfortable. Gas fireplace. There is a loft with no access - with a decorated Christmas tree. OK: now the drawbacks. DARK. Each room had many lamps, lights, decor but even after getting all of them turned on, it was still too dark. The bathroom sink had hair and toothpaste in it (the house was otherwise clean.) There were several power strip/surge protectors that were completely full...is that safe?Hosts were friendly and responsive once reached, but I dont think they use the VRBO app often. Their cell phones are the way to communicate effectively. There were no instructions for check in/out but they live on site and made themselves available. Fancy cabin.
