I booked a deluxe-plus room but I think we may have been put in a deluxe room as we had no armchairs as shown in the deluxe-plus photos, and the furniture and decor wasnât quite like the photos. We were also warned that there was still wet plaster on the wall when we got to our room, which wasnât a massive problem but when I went to the bathroom there was lots of crumbly plaster all around the sink and the tap was splashed with it! I was surprised that it wasnât cleaned up before we checked in. Nevertheless, it was still a nice, comfy stay and the mattress and pillow were probably the best weâve ever had in a hotel. Unfortunately the metal bed frame squeaked really loudly with every single movement which wasnât great at night! The staff were lovely though and very helpful, and the restaurant downstairs is really nice with a cosy country feel. The food was great too. It was also nice to have such a good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room, and some free biscuits too! And the location was perfect - only a 2 minute walk to the pebbly beach, and there are 2 other pubs within a 1-minute walk! I would definitely stay here again.
