Hotel was under renovation. Front desk and hallways smells like paint. Rooms has a wired odors and the bed was not comfortable. I was in a prior Hampton before checking into Hampton in Sedona, that one was pleasant. Will not be returning to this Hampton in Sedona.

Hotel was under construction, which I understand the necessity for, but, contractors didn’t clean up after themselves each day. Everything was dusty and there were large amounts of debris left in front of guest room doors. Also, lighting in the room was wholly inadequate. It was like a cave.

This hotel is under major renovation with carpets pulled up, painting and plastic all over. While our room was decent, the rest of the hotel was a bit chaotic due to the renovations. We had stayed in Hampton at another town just days prior and that property was super nice and clean. So this was a surprising difference to what I’m used to getting with Hampton. We would have chosen another hotel had I known the renovations were taking place during our stay.

Room wasn't cleaned well at all. The room had dust, spiderwebs, dirt, and the bed had holes in it and we covered that about 3 times. I would say this was very lackluster and felt as if the hotel room was falling apart. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone, The staff was courteous however.

Hotel was being renovated. We stepped on carpeting glue on the hallway outside our room. They were painting the halway walls and laying tile on the exit doors. Walking an the hallways was a trip hazard and dangerous. This was a major interior renovation and the hotel should have been closed. Or at least the affected rooms should have been off limits. We were not told about this when we made our reservations. Totallly unacceptable

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Sedona and overall had a disappointing experience. On multiple occasions, staff did not acknowledge us when we said good morning. This included a female staff member setting up the breakfast area when I arrived with no greeting. Overall, the staff did not look enthusiastic about being there, which set a negative tone for the stay. ( Whoever was working as outside maintenance that day of check in was more welcoming). Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The room was spacious, but similar to another review I read, it had double doors and a bed tucked into what felt like a closet, which made it feel outdated. Although the room seemed renovated, it still didn’t look very nice or welcoming. The room rate was $236, and on top of that there was a $17 parking fee plus a $50 refundable “in case of damage” fee, which made the stay feel overpriced for what was offered. Our room was close to the exit stair, which seemed convenient at first, but it wasn’t—once the door closed, you were locked out, making it very inconvenient. Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. The night before, I stayed at another hotel in a different tourist town and paid half the price. That hotel was more spacious, more comfortable, and more welcoming, and it didn’t require any additional fees beyond what was disclosed at booking, which made the comparison even more disappointing.
