The property was gorgeous just like the pictures. In a great area that was very convenient to all stores, restaurants and area attractions. It was only 8 minutes to our family event. We truly enjoyed our stay!
My long time friend and I spent the week in Sedona for a get a way. Loved the location in West Sedona and easy to navigate to and from various other locations. Can be very challenging to find this place at night so recommend day light hours to check in. Loved the fireplace, and set up overall. Wonderful place to stay.
Nicely decorated, clean house for me, my 82 year old mom and my 20 year old son. Location was great-away the craziness of downtown but close enough to still enjoy it all. Communication with property management was prompt and helpful. After reading previous reviews and the house rules, we brought indoor slippers to wear to keep the floors clean and our feet warm and clean. Would book again!
This was not a person renting their property in VRBO. This was a vacation rental company using VRBO to post their listings. The property itself was fine though the tile was filthy. But if you read the fine print on the rental agreement, there are zero consumer protections. You're at their mercy as they could "accidentally" charge you whatever they want and then you'd have to take them to arbitration to get it settled. No refunds, no charge backs. All kinds of threatening statements and fees. I will not book this place again and if I accidentally wind up on another property through this company, I'll cancel immediately (during the cancellation period)
We recently stayed at the Desert Poppy home in Sedona and couldn't have asked for a better home base. On the chilly evenings, the gas fireplace in the living room added much needed touch of warmth and ambiance. One of the highlights was spotting a coyote sauntering along the side patio, an unforgettable reminder of the wild beauty in Sedona. The location was convenient for exploring the red rock trails and eateries of the area.We would absolutely recommend the DesertPoppy Townhome.
I have stayed in the Nepenthe neighborhood several times over the years, and I think it is the perfect location from which to explore Sedona. You are just minutes from uptown but away from all that craziness, in a quiet neighborhood. There are grocery stores and everything you need just up the road. The unit was very nice, with in-unit laundry and a grill on the patio. We had a small issue with ants, but thsat is to be expected in the summer, and not a big deal. The pool & hot tub are a short 2 minute walk and a great place to relax. Management was responsive and helpful. You really can't go wrong with this home!
Location was great. Home was great for our family of 5. They asked for guests not to wear shoes in the home. The only problem was the floor was so dirty/dusty your feet were black within minutes of arrival. Everything else was clean, just the floors needed some TLC. Also the pool is not heated.
We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples) in Sedona for 5 nights for a mountain biking trip between Christmas and New Years.
What we enjoyed:
- Location. Right by an entrance to Carrol Canyon trail system, and just down the road from Safeway and other grocery stores.
- Kitchen is well-stocked with appliances and tools.
- Outdoor grill was a nice perk.
- Gas fireplace for a warm and cozy space on winter nights.
- Garage and private patio are both secure places to store bikes.
Suggestions to make this place better:
- Dishwasher doesn't clean dishes well. We called property management and their maintenance person came out same day to service it. Ran vinegar through it I think, which helped some. The water is hard so that's probably main issue but they could provide a product like Finish specifically for hard water.
- We had to buy laundry detergent. A collapsible drying rack would also be very helpful.
- Some of the door hinges are squeaky and could use a bit of WD-40.
- Swap full size bed in third bedroom for a queen size bed.
- Living room could really use a rug to make it extra cozy!
Desert Poppy was the perfect location for us to explore SedonaâŠaway from the crazy downtown area! The community pool and hot tub were great after a day of hiking! Highly recommend!
