WATER LEVEL & FLOW
As of 2/16/2026, our dam is complete!! The view of the lake is getting pretty again, and we're hoping for a full lake by May. In the meantime, fishing and kayaking should be nice, but swimming won't be ideal. The water's edge is mucky and there's still some debris working it's way downstream. But when it's full, it's stunning!

This listing is for one side of a duplex. You'll have the carport/driveway, inside living space, and back deck (outdoor dining/grill) to yourself, but the lawn/firepit/hammock area may be shared with up to 5 guests from the other unit.

We live locally and have local maintenance and housekeeping for needs that may arise during your stay.

We utilize professional pest control on a regular schedule, but because we're in the country and near water, this does not guarantee a pest-free visit, inside or out.

You'll likely need a car to get around. HEB will deliver groceries, and Uber/DoorDash/Favor are in the area.

NO smoking. Smoking of any kind (including tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vape pens, and hookahs) is prohibited at this property, inside and out.

The Lake/river had receded to a small stream of water due to dam work being done up river. Therefore, I don't believe I can give it a fair assessment. If it were flowing where I observed the river bed to be, I think it would be amazing!

The property was very clean and well appointed. There were plenty of essential supplies, board games, etc. for the family to enjoy. Communication with the host started early and they were very accessible. Would look to rent again in the future.

Great property!

My husband & I decided to make our way to the area for a couple weeks to escape the Iowa winter in Jan. Due to some bad weather predicted for the area the day of our initial arrival, we decided to depart Iowa a day early & Laura was so accommodating. We were able to check in a day early and found the home clean and well-stocked with everything that we needed. Laura gave us suggestions on places to eat & visit. Communication with the host was excellent from our initial booking throughout our stay. We will definitely stay here again when in the area!

Perfect!

This house was absolutely perfect for us. My husband and I traveled with our teenage daughter and her friend. The house was very clean and they supplied everything you could need. They had nice security lights outside on top of living in a gated area. We love to come every summer to float the river and we will definitely stay here again. I have to add that I made a disaster with our booking and the host was so kind and flexible with me!

Mother daughter retreat

Laura made everything easy. She kept us posted and even made us a plate of cookies to welcome. The water is not exactly right there , you'll have to walk down but our girls liked it to splash around. Went tubing landa falls.

Great family time!

It was a nice little home away from home. The house was right on the river for us to enjoy some fishing. We caught quite a few small bass and pirch. Our 4 year old son caught his first fish. The house was clean and the perfect size for us to relax on our get away. They even had books and a few toys geared just for our little guy when we were inside. Thank you for having us!

Great Find!

Great find in the heart of the Hill country snuggld between San Marcos, New Braunfels and Greuene. Very peaceful. There was water in the lake. However, we did not swim. The duplex is extremely clean and well-kept and Laura provides everything you really need to enjoy your stay. One suggestion I might make is perhaps putting a screen for the siding glass door that locks in case you have small children, but that way you can feel the breeze come in from the water Thank you so much!
