Very disappointing. I knew it was a very slow week for hotels in the area because it was a korean holiday but still they gave me a view of another buildingโ€™s window (deluxe room). My primary residence for my vacation was in Busan and I just needed a place to sleep in Seoul for five nights to visit family and friends. Thus the reason I chose this place. Location was okay with some peace and quiet. Lobby with well educated staff and coffee shop attached. One elevator was used for basement renovation but who knew.. until you walk into the elevator. Alas, the room... I walked in and I couldnโ€™t find the difference between a 2 star hotel or a 1 star motel... There was dust on the walls, behind the tv, shower head was molded, washroom walls with water marks leftover from previous guest... and yes it is as they all say... the washroom is very small... you sit on the toilet and the hand sink is right over your knees... I asked for a cancellation as soon as I saw the room. With covid19 hotels should be flexible with last minute cancellations... but nope I got only 2 nights cancelled out of the 5 and they were saying it was an exception during the holidays because Expedia Korea was also on holiday. But I booked from Expedia Canada and as a person who comes from the hospitality industry, cancellation should be more flexible especially for long term reservation. Although I had 3 nights left in this โ€œhotelโ€ I booked a new reservation at a named brand hotel and I was overly satisfied.
