Beware photos are deceiving....cabin is small and the driveway is not safe. The cabin and almost every appliance, hot tub, pots and pans and dishes, theatre seats, toilet seats, rugs and furniture are old and need updated. Owner should add a water softener as it is well water and everything smells like rotten eggs. Rental company is AWFUL to deal with. Only positive for us was the location. Defintiely not worth the money we paid.
Property listing misleading.
Very limited parking. Heat in basement (game room, 4th bedroom) didnât seem to work. Space heaters were provided. Cooking pans where old and need to be replaced. Lots of trash over back deck in woods. You can tell property management doesnât take care of the grounds surrounding this house.
When we arrived at our cabin from the outside Iâd say it was just what we were expecting. Rustic wooden cabin on a mountain. Very steep road on the way up. The parking was a little difficult. You pull in at a downward angle only enough room for 2 SUVâs. To get out you have to back out drive way up the hill and turn around in another cabins parking lot.
Inside the cabin... Big as we expected but not as clean as we would have liked. All linens and towels had to be washed, and there was also a lot of dead bugs...Just to name a few. It has 4 rooms 3 with Tvâs. 2 with cable boxes.
The living room did not have a cable box but does have the ability to log into Netflix.
Movie theater! An awesome idea no cable box but has a DVD player(Must have your own DVDâs) The surround sound did not work.
Game area was nice as well but pull table not level and falling apart to the point the balls will fall out of one of the pockets.
Outside - The Hot tub had to be the best feature in our opinion. There was a grill onsite but tied into main propane tank that was empty. So No grilling for us...
Despite everything we did end up enjoying our stay.
We spoke with Bethany upon arrival about the cleanliness of the cabin. She apologized and offered us Tickets for the Titanic. That was a great experience.
Later that night and throughout our stay we found the other problems.
We called back spoke with Jennifer.
She was very polite and understanding about our issues. She apologized, and took complete ownership. She felt really bad about our experience. She offered us a refund for 1 day. Considering the main issue with this cabin was cleanliness. We accepted.
After the experience with Jennifer we may consider booking with Timber Tops again in hopes to get a cabin that will be clean.
