We enjoyed this property for a Thanksgiving weekend for our blended family. The commercial kitchen was just the thing we needed for all the prep by many family members. The age of the property and its history as an old Inn made the experience all the more quaint and endearing. We enjoyed many modern upgrades and felt comfortable the whole time. Weâd encourage the owners to continue modernizing (we love what yâall did with the downstairs bathroom by the kitchen) and also pay attention to a few appliances that need attentionâŠsuch as the bubbling over dishwasher that was one of the cheapest money can buy. We had a few small issues such as the washing machine going out that received immediate attention by the property manager. When the fix required ordering a part they brought us fresh towels that night to help. We appreciated that service. The only small complaint we had was that it was not thoroughly cleanedâŠthe floors need to be cleaned underneath the furniture periodically because it accumulates there and is revealed when we moved the furniture around. Weâd stay there again. We do recommend the property. It served our family well for a memorable Thanksgiving weekend!
This cabin is very good and cozy. I have rented other cabin earlier as well in Smokies, this is so far best one. Very big to fit 20 adults and 5-6 kids
We had our wedding here on 10/18/25, so we had friends and family in for the weekend. Everyone enjoyed the cabin and had a great time; we even got to see a bear! The cabin is a little outdated, but it adds to the charm. I fell in love with the kitchen, which tends to become the gathering place of any home. I would recommend this location if you're looking for a large cabin that won't break the bank.
Location and cabin was breathtaking, we enjoyed our stay, very spacious and great for large groups/ couples, would recommend staying here, only issue is the showers still had blue cleaner in them but overall excellent place to stay
The place was large and had everything we needed. It was rather dirty and dusty, but the bedding and towels were clean. The bunkbeds pictures did not exist, which made foiled our planning. The driveway has rain ruts se be careful. The main problem is it is not handicap accessible. We had two very elderly family members and there was no ramp up. The dinning area is downstairs, making it inaccessible to mother. There were no dinning tables on the main floor at all. That is something that needs addressing!!
First off we didn't get to stay in the cabin that we booked five months in advance. I was called the day before the trip and was told that the cabin had a gas leaka gasline l
Very Interesting older place, loved all the wood on walls and ceiling! Has pretty much everything you need except lacking tv's and needs new dishwasher, had to wash dishes by hand because it leaked, was thought to be fixed by maintenance but continued to leak onto floor. Loys of plugs don't work. But it was an very old house. Interesting with doors moving with no wind. I do believe the ghost was there. With footsteps in the middle of night with stuff moved. All in all we had a good visit with family!
Huge hotel for family, and I mean hotel (the bedrooms have numbers). The property is dated, but we loved it. It was very comfortable. The beds were nice, no problems with the bathrooms. Huge hot tub that the teens enjoyed. Balconies that practically face every direction. Beautiful view! It did rain most of the time, and our second morning we didn't see anything but fog till early afternoon. The men enjoyed the game room and playing pool. In all the space there's only 2 TV's on the 1st floor, but it wasn't an issue with our group. We did have an issue with the gas stove but it was resolved quickly. maintenance came right out. Everyone had their own space and didn't feel like we were in each other's way. This is definitely for a large group though, we had 10 people and it was almost to much for us. Certainly a Christmas the cousin's will not forget, and memories they will always have.
As soon as we arrived, there was a bee infestation in room 15. Bees all over the inside windows and floor swarming around and almost attacked me and my grandchildren. The bees were all over the balcony door in that room. We reported it and was told itâs been an ongoing problem for months now. There was a water leak in the dinning room downstairs and we reported it and was told itâs probably the AC drain clogged.. It finally stopped so were told it would be fixed after we leave. The hot tub was dirty and didnât have the full amount of water needed to start it. We reported it and housekeeper came to take care of it.The cabin is outdated and needs a lot of repairs. Screens to balcony doors was laying on the floor of balcony. Vents were nasty and needed to be cleaned out. Some doors wouldnât shut or lock. Several windows had major cracks in them. Bugs were all over the inside of the cabin.my family constantly got bit by bugs inside cabin. Some of the faucets in bathrooms constantly leaked.
We enjoyed the lodge it was just too far up in the mountains away from the main strip. My niece's room had a sink that did not work. It was stopped up, smelled and had bugs in it. She covered it with a towel. They tried to fix it but couldn't. No one never returned to fix it. She and her kids left a day early. The last day the shower leaked from upstairs in the main floor bedroom, first door on the left. My nephew was stung by bee outside his room. The bees were going in hole by the door but it was fixed.
