The host was on top of everything!. The hosts communication was top notch. Thank you Megan. The house was cozy. The kitchen had everything you need including big pots! That was amazing! The area was also great! Very quiet and scenic.
5 star stay! Host was amazing and cabin was very spacious and clean! THERE IS A BESR THAT FREQUENTS THE AREA! PLEASE LOCK CAR DOORS AND REMOVE FOOD FROM THEM. A bear got in the back of truck and tore through some luggage to get some snacks. I encourage guests to take proper precautions with bears. Cabin is great and is in great location. 25 minutes to Cades Cove, and 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge.
We loved our stay. Our host Megan was very helpful. She answered all of our question promptly. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. We had plenty of room for our big family. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and using the hot tub.We got to see a Mama bear and her two cubs. She was just heading into the forest. The only thing we would recommend is a nice propane grill. We loved making big meals in the kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook with. Definitely a great stay!!
The house is very comfortable and user friendly. Itâs hard to find many places with 7 bedrooms and big enough to accommodate numerous folks. The location is scenic and well away from the traffic and congestion of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge . However, it is close enough to allow a short drive into Pigeon Forge to the main store for groceries without becoming too congested. Megan was very helpful and easily contacted. I would highly recommend the place.
Everything about our stay was great! We had such an amazing time in the cabin. Megan (the host) provided very detailed check in/out and stay directions. We needed to reach out to her a few times during the stay and she was very quick, professional and so polite when responding. The cabin was perfect for our group!
This was the perfect spot for our family, 10 Adults 5 grands, the home was large enough that we had areas to spend time together, play games, and make memories and still be able to have our personal quiet space, the home had a great layout. The location was great for outdoor hiking, several trails that were close and we all enjoyed. The kitchen had great counter space and we ate all our meals in. Definitely would suggest this location for a family gathering.
The Duke was an amazing cabin. We didnât have any problems, everything was clean and spacious. Location was perfect, many activities to do around the small town and we were only 30 minutes away from Pigeon Forge! Megan was also an amazing host. She provided information on time and was kind enough sending a link on road updates after hurricane Helene.
This property was an excellent choice for our three daughters, their husbands and all our grandkids to explore and enjoy the Smokie Mountains from. The space worked well. Having access to the pool was a wonderful option. Pool is a little further than the description...it's about 4 miles which is at least 10-12 minute drive. We really loved Wears Valley and area of Townsend..a little quieter and quaint. Plenty of trails and swimming holes on that side of the Smokies to explore. There are plenty of bears in the area. We had three different ones that would meander onto the property usually between 6-9 pm when we were inside and it was quiet outside. Several nights we grilled, they came by a few hours after that to sniff around. Kinda cool watching them from the dining room window. Megan was great to answer questions and work with. We would totally rent this place again.
We had a great time good location maybe for a family as many as us could have used a few more towels but we washed and made it work
Also we left half of a bag of charcoal for next renters in closet there was pancake mix and syrup there but we didnât leave that it was there
The property was spacious and had rooms for everyone. There was space to be together and space to disappear to if you needed a nap! The mattresses were not the most comfortable for a week long stay - some were extremely soft and others were very hard.
The back porch was relaxing, but had a decent amount of bird poop and spider webs (didn't seem to be cleaned up the day we arrived).
People of all ages annoyed the video game and pool table. All of the porches provided places to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or see the moon at night. We had a small black bear visit us each day - make sure you lock your car doors!! The road is very curvy - it's just part of being in the mountains, but it is something to be aware of as you are coming and going to town.
Overall, it was a great place to stay for large groups of people.
The Duke is a Beautiful cabin from the bedrooms with the walk out balconyâs. Huge deck on lower level and large table and chairs set very nice. Hot tub is a very nice size and worked well. Everything you need is in the cabin. The Host responds right back immediately. Even checked to make sure everything was okay. We have been coming down to Tennessee twice a year now and this is the best cabin we have stay in. I highly recommend the Duke.
Had a great stay! Megan was very responsive. The cabin was fully stocked and clean! Not a far drive to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. No bear sightings this week but maybe next time. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed here with a large group and loved it. I loved that everyone had a king or queen bed. We cooked every meal there and had everything we needed. The driveway is very steep and it's way up in the mountains (be careful if you get carsick), but we knew we were planning on staying put so it didn't bother us. We had a great experience.
