This property is probably very nice when itâs ready to be rented, but we did not have a good experience here. We were informed when we were 1 hour away from the property; 9 hours into our drive to TN that there was an issue with the well pump & we may not be able to stay there. At the very last second, we were finally informed that we must stay at a different property because the well pump had a short. We left our belongings at this secondary property the next day because at 10 am and after our inquiring messages on next steps were left unanswered, we left to enjoy our day. An hour later, we receive a call and are informed that we must move our belongings immediately as this secondary housing had been re-rented. As we had just payed to park in Gatlinburg, we declined & had the property representative move our things to this property which allegedly had a corrected well pump. That evening, the indoor jacuzzi water filled with sediment and was unusable. The outdoor hot tub was leaking out of the bottom and was unusable. The next day, we were told the wash machine also has a short, all being blamed on a storm that happened THREE weeks prior. We checked out 5 days early & received a full refund.
The cabin/house was clean and very welcoming. We felt right at home. The host was great at communicating and making sure everything was to our satisfaction.
Great location!!!Equal distance to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Wears Valley has some nice dining options just five minutes away. The hot tub and fire pit were great after a day of exploring.
This was the perfect week and the house was awesome. The location was close to everything but in a very quiet and peaceful area. The views from the patio were amazing. Glenn was very easy to deal with and even checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying here.
Owner had great communication prior to our arrival. Even called on our way down to make us aware of some deliveries scheduled to come during the week. Home is beautifully maintained and spacious. This was a mother daughter trip and we had lots of room. Easily could have accommodated a few others. Liked being away from the main parkway but still close enough that it only took about 10 minutes to get to the Pigeon Forge fun. Only recommendations are a new frying pan and a new clothes iron. Otherwise we had all we needed and everything was in good functioning condition. Would definite recommend staying here.
Over all our stay was very good and we would stay again. We were satisfied. What brought our rating down a star was just a few small things. For example the coffee maker did not have a pot to go along with it. The soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms and shower did not work. The master bed had a good mattress, but the frame seemed inadequate. Over all a very good stay. We loved the location and the property. Thank you.
Quiet Location - Property Exactly as Pictures in Listing
The location of this property was perfect. It was a quiet neighborhood setting just outside of town. It was about 7 miles outside of Pigeon Forge so it was close enough to town to go for food and entertainment, but far enough outside town to enjoy the peaceful setting and nature. The beds and couches were very comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. The outside amenities were perfect with the hot tub and seating areas outside in the back yard. I will definitely book this property again for any return trips to Pigeon Forge area.
This was an amazing home. The view from the hot tub was amazing. There are loungers where you can sit and read or even look at the smoky mountains. Both my children loved this house. Had games and ample space for each of them. Will book again!!
The location is perfect very easy to access property and centrally located in Wears Valley. The house is roomy with plenty of seating areas great experience
Our primary mission was to visit my aunt in an assisted living facility in Kingport and moms favorite spot on the planet is the GSM. Your home was everything we needed, my mom is handicapped and the step in -showers and limited steps to enter the residence was ideal. Moms trips are becoming harder but your home was comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare meals and relax. Wasn't able to enjoy the patio and firepit because of rain and the late times we returned for the evenings.
Checking in and out was a breeze, and the process was simple.
We did try to go to Cades Cove and I made the executive decission to try Roaring Fork instead and it did pay off with getting to watch a couple bear cubs playing , without being run off by rangers since there wasn't hundreds of cars idling behind us.
Thanks for another opportunity to build memories.
The location and views from the sunlight house are breathtaking. The home is cozy and provides well for our stay. We look forward to a future stay at this property.
