The cabin was decently clean except for the basement bathroom, which was moldy. The water filtration system suddenly started making a loud noise, like a washing machine does at 3 a.m., and woke us all up, as we thought the water line had busted. There is no door for one of the beds in the basement. Overall, it was a good stay.
The cabin was ok, Driveway was to small, i felt like i was going to fall down the mountain to get in and out of my car.The hot tub was great. Cleanliness needed some work. Down stairs there was mold in the bathroom and on toilet. The tub down stairs had a crack in and did not feel safe. The humidifiers had to be emptied in order to use. There is no curtain on the full glass door where someone had to sleep. Cobb webs on the decks. Main floor bathroom needs a curtain. The kitchen sink needed a stopper so we could wash the dishes and why does the refrigerator have an ice maker with water hooked to it but does not work.
The cabin was very cute! It was still in the trees and quiet, but close enough to all of the activities to not be an issue going back and forth to do things!
Great Tennessee cabin in the woods. Close enough to all the attractions but far enough away from the noise. Cabin was clean and hosts were courteous and informative. Everything was simple and made our stay more enjoyable.
Our trip to this cabin started off bad immediately. I parked beside the cabin and within a couple of minutes, a tow truck driver was trying to tow my vehicle. I was waiting on two more vehicles to arrive before pulling in the driveway. Thereâs no sign thatâs says you you canât park there and there was plenty of room to go around me.The WiFi didnât work and the showers barely worked. The bathrooms didnât have curtains to block the view which was really strange.
Size was perfect for our group of 6 for our short stay. Place was very clean & conveniently located. Hot tub was big enough to fit us all & clean. Shower on bottom level did not work and there was very little water pressure throughout the property. Fridge is too big for space, although nice, but makes it difficult to load dishwasher (Which is part of the check out instructions) without moving. Overall pleased with stay & property & would rent again.
My husband and I had a lovely stay at Red Bone Retreat. It was exactly what we wanted - a cabin in the woods with all the modern conveniences, and still close to town and services.
The wifi signal was strong, things were clean, and we enjoyed the hot tub quite a lot.
Be aware when you approach the propety that the street it is on does not have a street sign. We thought it was a driveway and didnt believe the GPS, drove a ways up the mountain where the street comes out, and then back down the mountain on the street to the house. Then we figured out how close the house actually was to the turn we missed. Haha.
Great location. Bathrooms could use modernization, but overall acceptable. There was a decent size black bear that came by once to say good morning (really neat). Decks could use some TLC, but nothing was unsafe. There is a photo of a jacuzzi tub in the listing, but it is no longer there. Overall a decent value for the cost.
