The cabin was beautiful and clean; however, I feel that this company is all about money not really customer service. We have stayed at lots of places that allow early checkin without a fee. We requested an early checkin for two. By the time someone responded and we were able to get into the cabin, it was nearly 2:40. We were charged 55 for a two hour early checkin. I was told the fees are automatically set and there was nothing that could be done. Upon entering the cabin, it was 54 degrees. The heat and gas logs ran for seven hours straight just to get the cabin up to 70. During the night, without the gas logs running, the temp dropped to 63. The internet also went out the first night we were there, so we had to hotspot for TV. I texted with someone who offered little help with the internet. We contacted Spectrum ourselves, and they reset the internet for us. As for the heat, they sent one person whose expertise was adjusting the next thermostat. He stayed 30 to 40 minutes and left saying he would contact a service person. Just as we were lying down for a nap, the other person came. He worked on the heat for a couple of hours coming in and out from downstairs to upstairs repeatedly. He was able to replace something and get the heat running; however, between the two men being there, a large portion of our day was disrupted without so much as an apology. I wonât say that I will never stay with Red Door again, but I will definitely look for other properties and companies first.
