Very clean room and atmosphere. Very basic amenities and aged. Safe place. Mattress was uncomfortable, if you like it more hard/extra firm mattress this is the place. Common area was quaint.

This is a wildly over priced glorified hostel with minimal decor, cheap amenities and a breakfast cook who couldn't be bothered to say good morning or be pleasant. The view out of my alley facing room was of electrical lines and huge transformer. The front yard was untended and the overflowing compost pile next to the front door was the icing on the cake. And for this I paid $250 a night. Amazing. I hate being ripped off.

Loved staying at Northern Nights. Will stay here when we come back. Sarah was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was a fountain of information and was ready to help in any way. Had bear spray and more for the day hikers. Breakfasts were yummy and cooked to order.

Sarah is an incredible host, who prepares delicious breakfast, best coffee I've had in Alaska! The home baked fruit breads, taste so good! The room has three beds, perfect for us. The shared areas are clean and felt like home. Walking distance to the stunning bay views. Highly recommend for Seward staying

Good property but overrated

I booked this property for excellent rate but I think it is overrated. You have only one room and other area is common, as a family with small kids you have to control them all the time, the thing wall won’t prevent any noise. I saw great review for breakfast, unfortunately there is nothing more than a hotel free conventional breakfast. It is better for couple but not great for a family

A great find. We booked last minute due to previous motel not having a suitable room! This place is a gem and the host was wonderful. Very convenient for restaurants, shops, Sealife Center. Highly recommended.
