The room was very nicely decorated. The room itself was very nice.
The only issue with the room was that the shower knob was broke. Had a difficult time.
We should have been notified when we booked that the shower didn't work. Or when we showed we should have been informed of that. We didn't try to use the shower until morning.....
We stayed in the "Kansas" room. It was decorated so darling! The room was clean and spacious. Check in/out was seamless. The price of the room is more than fair. The location is fabulous if you are eating at the scrumptious Red River Steakhouse next door and attending the dance at the McLean Dance Hall, like we were! :)
Nice isolated location. Room decor compliments the Route 66 era. Restaurant is short walking distance. Heater did make a noise which I informed the manager. Showered the Cactus Inn little mascot kitty with love and food.
The tub/shower was filthy. A trickle of water in the shower. My husband had to overhaul the toilet to get it to flush. Dog food all over the floor. We don't have pets. When we got to the motel lobby was locked had to wait 20 minutes for anyone to get there to check us in
So far from the coast of Oregon this is by far the loveliest room. I recommend to anyone to stay there. Oh and bring cat treats cause there is a female motel kitty. She's a loving cat. Owner was very sweet.
Was very skeptical about the place when booking, but honestly turned out way better than anticipated! Place was clean, amenities were great and the staff was nice. Check in was easy and the room, two bedroom, was very spacious! It had a western theme to it, which we loved and overall was totally worth it. Would definitely recommend staying here if you need to stop somewhere through the tip of texas!
Great Route 66 Vintage Property. We could tell they had Fun decorating the room! The Room we stayed in was extra spacious. We enjoyed the microwave popcorn too! Thanks for a pleasant stay!
This is an older motel that doesn't look like much from the outside, but my room was nice and clean, it was decorated quaintly, everything worked like it was supposed to, and I slept well. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night while driving across the Panhandle.
