Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund offers 268 accommodations with iPod docking stations and minibars. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. Beds feature Egyptian cotton sheets, down duvets and premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. 37-inch Smart televisions come with premium satellite channels and pay-per-view films. The hotel is at the prime location, next to the bund and Nanjing road. The room is huge, with the state of the art facility. Its staff were very friendly, helpful and always available. We enjoyed staying there.

Great location as it’s located in the Nanjing Road walking street (shopping). From hotel from see the Shanghai Mingzhu and Lujiazui 3 buildings. Staff provide good service, hotel room is big and clean. Must try hi-tea at the rooftop restaurant of the hotel as it provides superb view of the river and bund.

We stayed at the Fairmont Peace Hotel in a 'Fairmont Gold, 1 King Bed, Non-smoking, Executive Level' with access to the club lounge and it exceeded all expectations! It was such a beautiful hotel to stay in. A great location - everything in walking distance, if you want that - but also transport at your fingertips if you prefer that. As well as using the club lounge we dined at the Dragon Phoenix restaurant, which we also highly recommend. Totally recommend this hotel.

Best luxury hotel overall in Shanghai! Great location, next to Nanjing pedestrian street and the bund. Excellent restaurant; surprised it’s not a Michelin star restaurant. Lots of nostalgic themes but not a run down place. Very well decorated and clean room. Love to come back!

Excellent hotel with old world service. Excellent breakfast. The food at the "French" restaurant was awful. Food was not as advertised. The charcoal grilled veal rack had never been near any charcoal and was tough. Same for the rack of lamb. They should either hire a new chef or close the restaurant
