Hotel overall was modern but rooms could do with modernising. Check in wasn’t a breeze, but location of hotel was very convinient with many stores next door to it, and staff overall were very helpful

This hotel is conveniently located in a charming local neighborhood, just three subway stops away from the central tourist district. The staff is exceptionally professional and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay. A standout feature is the restaurant on the 50th floor, which offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city. The manager, Mr. Chu, was particularly hospitable and attentive to guests. While the complimentary laundry service is a great perk, be prepared for potential wait times due to high demand. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, prime location, and outstanding amenities.

The reception staff was unfriendly and when you ask for help is like you are bothering them, they are mostly non English speakers which bothers me as they receive international clients. Their answer to everything is “I don’t know” My room was not being cleaned, the floors were not swept, the sheets were only changed when I was left with one day to leave Andy Chu, the restaurant manager is the only person who made my stay at this hotel bearable, he was kind and always tried his best to find way to make out breakfast pleasant

No control over air conditioners, and the room was hot like a sauna. The phone in the room was also broken so we needed to go down to the front desk to ask for help. The staff in the reception could not speak English at all. We asked to lower the temperature of the AC but they came to our room to open the window instead. The room was above the 30th floor and they just opened the window and there was no screen door or anything. We had such a difficult time staying in this hotel. The location was not good either. You need to either take a cab or change trains a couple of times to get to most of the tourist spots. I would recommend not to choose this hotel if you are going to Shanghai for sightseeing, especially for those who does not speak Chinese.

The hotel is very old. The bathroom was full of mould around the tiles and the silicone in the shower. The floor in the rooms were visibly dirty and required vacuuming. The indoor pool is extremely outdated.The staff were lovely and helpful.
