The front desk staff was friendly. The Curtains had something gross on them. The bath/shower was rusting through. The only light in the bathroom was over the shower, the vanity lights were burned out. There was only 2 hand towels, no wash clothes, no bath towels. There was a coffee pot and coffee pods, but the pods were stuck to the tray and encrusted with old dry coffee. The carpet was coming apart where it meets the tile. I didnt think much about that-- until I stepped on it while going to the bathroom in the night and carpet nails poked my foot. Not nice when half asleep. The TV remote was also majorly messed up and gross. Unfortunately the TV was on when we entered the room and we had to use the remote to turn it off. We were informed that breakfast was "grab and go" because Marriot was buying Del Mar and things had changed. Breakfast was not truly Grab and Go, just very limited. A few serve yourself packaged breakfast sandwich in a cooler, that had to be heated, A few breakfast bars sitting on the counter, some bagels and few cinnamon rolls that had been cut in 1/4ths. The bed and bathroom did appear to be clean, thankful for that. My thoughts are, that if Del Mar has been bought by Marriot, they are not concerned with customer satisfaction at this point and are cutting things back, a lot.

We didn’t get to stay here because when we reached the front desk they didn’t have any hotel keys available so we had to go get a new hotel for the night. Unsafe and Alanton of homeless people around. The breakfast is literally just bagels and cream cheese that’s it. By the way they were out of cream cheese I can’t make it up. Ice was only on the 4th floor and the elevator didn’t work. Never stay here, they fabricated good reviews.

The outside of the building wasn’t appealing to the eyes. When we walked inside of the building it was a different story. The day receptionist was great help. The grab and go breakfast isn’t what l was expecting. I got over it and went to Waffle House.

You know there's a problem when you have to knock to gain entry to the lobby at 5:00 PM. 1st room I was given was terrible. Tile portion of floor was sticky; bathroom light did not work; tub was rusty; weird stains and blobs on the walls; fire alarm was missing battery; I know this because the battery chamber was stick out, sans battery; all the metal in the room was rusty; the AC cover was broken, the furniture was broken, the mini fridge was missing and there was mold growing where it used to be. There was dirt and debris around the bedstand. The second room was marginally better, still disgusting. The pool was closed for "renovation." Staff was friendly but clueless. Breakfast was a joke. Do not recommend.

Nice when you walk up! When I got there the clerk was nice and friendly checked in and got my room key. Went to my room and it looked as if someone was fighting the bathroom window was cracked and the latch on the room door was broken. Went back to the front and advised the clerk and went to another room. Checked the door to make sure nothing was wrong. And it checked out fine at the time. We them went out that day and can't back at night say in the truck and the new clerk was watching out the window as if something was going on., later a car pulls up in front of the hotel and we get out to go in and we get to our room and the latch wasn't working believe me we pay attention. We will NEVER EVER COME BACK

The receptionist at the front desk was rude Extremely nasty attitude! I asked her where was the bathroom while she was checking me in i was on the road for five hours and she told me it was locked! And the front door was locked when i was trying to get in to be checked in ! The stairs was full of trash ! It was a best western plus we would stay here then it was actually a nice property when it was franchised bbut whomever has it now don't give a f*ck how it looks !
