I love this hotel, so adorable. Rooms are themed and very well decorated. Honestly, my 1 complain would be that hallways are noisy when other guests come and go

The reception was rude no 1. First they said they don't see my reservation. After an hour of back and forth I got one and I checked out the next day. Not a peaceful property. Very inconvenient and literally no staff to even guide you to the multiple buildings and figuring it out in the night is a nightmare. Literally no toiletries or space for luggage.

I suppose one's experience here will be driven by the room they end up in. We checked into Gainsborough and were appalled by the condition of the bathroom. The sink and tub had been painted over, with large areas peeled off. The valves in the Jacuzzi tub were corroded. The area behind the toilet had visible water damage. When we asked to change rooms, the condescending manager on duty, "K2", informed me that the property is historic. I told her I did not want a historic 40-year-old bathroom. She offered a paid "upgrade" to Cassatt, while ominously cautioning of its spiral staircase. Her warning led me to ask to see the room to make sure it would not be a problem but she refused. The "death spiral" staircase is probably fun for a kid, but unsafe for anyone over middle-age. The bathroom had been slightly upgraded with marble tile walls and floor, but for reasons unknown still retained the same painted, corroded 1960's Jacuzzi tub and painted sink basin aesthetic as the first room. The "antique" furniture was circa 1960's, painted, with chunks of pink paint missing from old watermarks on the nightstand. The overall condition of the two rooms we saw was poor and did not reflect the photos and reviews on Hotels.com, which makes me question the veracity of this platform, and whether I will trust it in the future. We checked out without spending the night in either of those creepy rooms. However, the bellman Pat, and Mikayla at the front desk were both lovely.

I loved this hotel! The room was spacious and clean. The only thing I didn’t like is that when you run the AC or heater it’s super noisy. However, it’s walkable to the outlets and a few bars downtown. I’ll definitely recommend them!
