A lovely very old building. Sadly what made it uncomfortable was that the building sits right on the roadside and our room was over the front door area where the traffic made it difficult to sleep. The room was small but the beds were comfortable. A heater was provided in the room as no plumbed in heating. The shower had no power but I guess this is perhaps the trade off with such an old building. The gentleman who checked us in and looked after us for breakfast was great and friendly. Super breakfast, freshly cooked and a good selection. Just a shame about its roadside location.
Excellent parking. Lovely country lane at back for walking. Some updating needed. Was in a room for our dog, would have paid more if it was better quality. Excellent position.
It was very quirky with old charm the owners were helpful and attentive we had a cream which was outstanding
Only negative the bed was very uncomfortable .
Our room was perfect for our stay as we wanted twin bed room and had everything needed for our over night stay.
We did not stay for breakfast as we we had to travel on early next day but the tea we had in the garden was lovely.
The thatched guest house was in easy access for walks & visit to Sidmouth. Thank you
Have stayed there before 12 years ago ,and it is just as good as it was then service good and owners very friendly ,will be staying again as family in Cornwall know and it is a great stop over on the way down.
wonderful, full of character, quirky, not a straight wall ceiling or floor to be found, it was like going back in time. The shared bathroom was no problem as there is also washing facilities in room. Very friendly and efficient service with excellent breakfast
