Great location! Very clean and well appointed. Other reviews mentioned old, uncomfortable mattresses. That was our observation as well. Appreciated two car spots in the driveway. Loved the private beach access! We brought ebikes and planned to keep them in a locked garage. The garage opener was broken and the doors do not lock. The property manager said they and the owner were aware of the problem. Why not fix it? Garage door repair companies usually come the day you call. Frustrating, but we made do with our own locks.We went to use the grill and found both tanks empty. The neighbor said we could use the little propane they has left. Again, told the property manager, and it was corrected that day.The icemaker was not working and the curtain over the kitchen patio was missing leaving no privacy after dark.I hate to dwell on the problems as the unit is mostly great. A little more effort and it would be an even better rental. I still recommend Happy Blue Coconuts.

Easy safe parking, wonderful views of the beach and gulf ,lots of space for family, relaxing, and 1 minute walk to beach, also grill in backyard was amazing I grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and walked it right out to the beach for the family to enjoy lunch sitting in the chairs provided

Great location and house

The house was very close to Siesta Key Village and being beachfront was perfect. The house worked well for our family and was very clean. The one and only complaint I have is the path to the beach. We basically had to walk through a swamp to get to the ocean. Some places were ankle deep and muddy. It was an inconvenience but not bad enough to ruin our great stay.

Family enjoyed staying at the blue cottage. Love the location on the beach. House was clean and very nice. The beds are old and not comfortable need to be replaced. When we were packing are stuff to checkout by 10Am. We had cleaning ladies sitting in there car at 8:30ish staring at us while we were packing. They were parked very close to my car. Made it hard to back up and leave. They should not be there until we checkout! This was very rude and uncomfortable!

Great location

This is a great location on the beach. Just north of the crowds of the blue lifeguard tower. 5 to 10 minute walk to the Village for shopping & restaurants. It was clean when we checked in. The beds were described as not in good shape on reviews-for years. We foolishly figured they had been replaced, but no. They were pretty unbearable. Sort of tolerable for a week of not getting great sleep but I wouldn't stay there for more than a week. The bathrooms and kitchen are in need of updating, but the place was less expensive than nicer places we have stayed on AMI-so I guess you get what you pay for. The garage door wouldn't stay shut. That is where the beach equipment is all kept. I reported it right away and the response made it seem important to them, saying they would take care of it right away but they never did. No instructions for leaving. But we left it with a load of towels already washing, pretty decent. Not having a real deck on the living room and kitchen level is disappointing, but again you get what you pay for. The pictures of the patio and grill are very deceiving. It's a dump. The table is warped & rusty. No gas grill, just a small charcoal grill in the garage. We went with the house for the location and to be on the beach but in hindsight I would spend more money for a nicer place. I think if the owners just gave it a bit of TLC, updating & replace the mattresses, they could charge more. But it was a great location and it was clean so we enjoyed our stay.

The view of the ocean was perfect! However, the property management, rentsiestakey.com, was horrible! When I call for support, I spoke with someone from the Philippines. It took multiple calls to get my issues taken care of.

Great stay at HBC South

Perfect property for family! The rooms were perfect set up 8 ppl. Spacious floor plan. Plenty of bathrooms for all. You could see the beach even from the kitchen! Beautiful views and easy access to beach and SK village minor issue with dishwasher and disposal but it was addressed immediately. Thank you

Stay At Blue Coconuts

Everything was great but they gave us very little soap and the walk to the beach was rough as there were tadpoles and mosquitos, the walk was horrible, but the property amazing!

Great Home with Million Dollar View

We loved the top floor bedroom with open air view of the ocean. Kitchen worked great for us. Dining Table with view of the ocean made the food taste better. Stairs were a great workout but had to be careful. Garage was roomy but could use a caution strip where the floor bumper went up a few inches. We enjoyed using the grill. Trails walking to the ocean were fun and allowed us to avoid walking through tall grass.

Perfect spot

House was clean. Beds need some updating. We brought our beach things but there was plenty in garage. Plan on going to grocery store for the norm. We bought 2 pans for cooking as ones at house everything sticks to. Plenty of hot water for 8 of us. Ac work good for us. There are nicer houses I. The area but the location is worth the money. People everywhere at the public access to the beach but the trail from house to beach was perfect. Water is clear. 5ft deep and can see bottom. Like I said “perfect spot”

Beautiful location

I love reviews especially as I am getting older. I really read so many reviews before purchasing things because I value feedback. I want to give my honest thoughts. Cons- The king bed I personally slept in needs replaced. We all slumped into the middle, the mattress seems old and worn out. Getting a quality mattress in there would of made this visit 100x better. Unsure about the others as i can only review the one I slept in. Also with the king bedroom there is no curtains. There are shades that pull down but there was no stopping the sun from entering. Would recommend the owner to add some blackout curtains to allow guests to decide if they wanna sleep in on their vacation. Even the moon was so bright one night it took forever to fall asleep. Lastly, the temperature setting. The agreement was no lower than 73. We were all miserable with the heat. 73 was not a comfortable temperature for us. We tried to all sleep in very thin layer of clothing and we used a sheet but even then we were so hot. The box fan helped a little but again, I know bills can be pricey but for the comfort of guests the flexibility would have been amazing had we been able to lower it a few more degrees because we did not get 1 good night of solid sleep the whole week unfortunately. Pros- The house is beautiful. The location is right on the beach. They had so many items available in the garage for use. The house itself was very clean. We appreciated all the TV options especially disney+ for our child. We appreciated the number of towels available as well as various sheets since it was so hot in the house, we used the sheets instead of comforters. We did not need to communicate with the owners for any reason so I can't speak to that, but overall we loved being able to walk right to the beach with no crowds around us. The views from the house were spectacular. Would recommend this house to others but I really hope the owners read my review and take it into consideration. I truly think having quality mattresses, curtains to prevent sunlight brightening the room, and being able to set it to a comfortable temp would improve things drastically.

Great location on Seista Key Beach

The condo was neat and clean with direct access to the beach. The village was within walking distance so we were able to travel from the condo to the village multiple times during the day/night for food, shopping, and fun.

2 weeks at a great beach

The Great: Location, location, location. Less than 200 yards down a private path to a beautiful beach. The private grilling area was clean with a high-end gas grill. Needs improvement: The kitchen is stocked with a good selection of pots and pans. However, the dinner ware is in need of updating (only 5 plates). Not enough plates for an 8-person service. Fortunately, someone had left enough disposable plastic plates to make due. There is enough flatware for dinner service. But missing basic things like measuring cups and spoons. Refrigerator handle is held on by a wood screw, a new handle is about $30. The recliner does not recline, the mechanism is broken and held on by drywall screws. As noted in other reviews, some dining room chairs are held together with masking tape which has failed. Some wood glue, a clamp and 30 minutes, problem fixed. Light bulbs inside and outside, more don’t work than do. As noted, bedding throughout desperately needs to be updated. Sheets, pillows and mattress pads are VERY worn and in need of replacement. Property is clean and appears recently painted inside. Flooring looks like it has recently been replaced. With a bit of attention to detail, this could be even better than it already is. FYI. If you are new to Siesta Key, Rent Siesta does not abide by first right of refusal like every other beach community in the US. They will back door VRBO and take the weeks you are staying without giving you the option to reserve for the following year.

The view is amazing, location is very good right on the beach and very close to delicious restaurants, very spacious area with beautiful views, the only things we did not like were first the floor wasnt so clean, and the masterbed was very uncomfortable, hurt our backs, and the bed sheets were to small, we had to fix them constantly.

Great Location with some minor drawbacks.

The listing very accurately reflects the property. The location and views are phenomenal - it is a nice 1/2 mile walk to a very nice downtown with several good bars and restaurants. This is a 4 level home with some steep stairways. It would not be ideal for kids or older adults. Very good value with a very good location though!

Great views of the beach

We had two sets of adults so one set had to sleep in the third floor bedroom. The third floor beds should be replaced-- we could feel the springs and the mattresses were uncomfortable. The third floor beds should be replaced with queen-sized beds-- full-sized beds are too small for adults sleeping on the same bed. A door should also be installed for the third floor bedroom-- there was no privacy. Other than that, the place was sufficient for us-- we had plenty of room with four adults and three children. We enjoyed waking up to the views of the ocean-- the location was the best feature. The distance to the town center was great-- we were able to walk there.
