We are renting a week at a Gold Crown Resort on fabulous Siesta Key. Available only for the week of Aug 28TH-SEPT 4TH . Saturday to Saturday. Spacious 2 bedroom condo, fully equipped kitchen, large living room/dining room and balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.This is a top floor unit so the view is beautiful and the breezes are heavenly. A short stroll to the world famous white sugar like sand of Siesta Key voted best beach in the USA. The sand never gets hot under your feet and is perfect for sand castle building. The Gulf of Mexico is clean and warm and perfect for swimming. The resort also features a huge swimming pool. There are several barbecues for outside food preparation and dining. There is a game room with a pool table and lots of board games. The unit is equipped with DVD and wi-fi and 3 TVs.This unit is 1400 square feet of luxury and comfort.
There are 2 bedrooms in the unit; a master bedroom with its own bathroom and a second bedroom with 2 twin beds. There is room for 6 people as the sofas in the living room open up to comfortable convertibles. The kitchen is complete with everything you would need to create a big meal or a simple breakfast. There is a grocery store within walking distance. In fact you do not need a car at all. The feeling is of being on an island (yes, Siesta Key is an island) and yet there are so many conveniences.:Walk to the village and a great assortment of really fine restaurants; sea food and continental, Italian, Peruvian and of course pizza. There are some lounges and a tiki bar where you can hear a guitarist playing Jimmy Buffet type of music while you are served tropical drinks like rum rummer or pina colada. And there is karaoke.There are boat, kayak and other water sport rentals nearby. You can rent bikes of all sizes. There is para sailing also.
The unit we are offering is for the one week only of August 28th-Sept 4th. The cost is $1400.00. This price is greatly reduced and much less than you would spend for a motel would not include all the luxury, the complete kitchen and the large living area.; that is $200 night for a complete apartment in a top rated resort that can accommodate 6 people comfortably.
If you want to leave the island and get in your car, Sarasota is the cultural capital of Florida and there are so many things to do: Ringling Museum, Circus Museum, theater, dance, concerts and so many restaurants and clubs. St Armand's Circle which is the Palm Beach of the West Coast is great for strolling and people watching. Mote Marine is a fascinating aquarium. LongBoat Key , Ana Maria Island and Venice are great places to explore. The Myakka State Park is well known for alligator viewing.
You can use Sarasota/ Bradenton airport which is 15 minutes away or Tampa Airport which is 1 hour and 20 minutes. Orlando is 2 hours away if you want to include more activities on your vacation.
