Do not hesitate to stay at the Schweizerhof. Had the best veal I've ever had in my life in the informal restaurant. Great time in the lounge bar. Vey clean and hospitable hotel. Stop by the Alpenrose.

This is a great hotel for a late arrival after heavy snowfall - warm, speedy and pleasant supper as part of half board package. Pool area a bonus too.

Unfortunately and unnecessarily complacent

Check-in was a singular experience: this hotel obviously has found new meaning to the concept of customer service... I have seldom been welcomed in such a complicated, controversial and nearly hostile manner at a hotel. As I tried to test a question to the representative at the desk on the appropriateness of her approach, things did nearly escalate. Good thing that there are other places to stay in Sils Maria for my next visit! In summer this hotel appears to have large numbers of regular guests that visit recurrently every year. The set ways that this produces has presumably helped the staff at reception become complacent / arrogant. That is an unnecessary pity, as all of the other staff (wellness area, breakfast room, check-out...) were very helpful.

Excellent for an outdoors break

This hotel was excellent, especially for the price. The room was really well fitted out for sports & outdoors holidays with ample storage for clothing and personal equipment, and while not plush it was very clean and functional. The room had opening windows looking into the mountains and over a river. The bed was comfortable. The ensuite is of a good size, very modern and very clean. Breakfast is comprehensive, and the restaurant is also nice, however there is no English menu but that is quickly overcome via google translate. The staff are helpful and friendly. And the location is gorgeous - it is a good spot to base yourself if you are trekking or swimming in nearby lakes, and the town also has a lovely wine bar, a pub on the river and other more traditional restaurants. I recommend this hotel if you are heading to the area for an outdoors holiday.

Nice hotel but a tad pricey

Nice hotel, but a bit pricey for what it offers. Personally not a fan of pricing per person instead of per room. General 10am check-out is too early, but we got extension to 11am. Good central location and car parking facilities (extra charge). Nice spa facilities but "gym" is very limited.
