Our room wasn’t ready despite arriving at the check-in time. Waited an hour and felt forgotten and dismissed but the manager helped to finally resolve the issue. Room was excellent and comfortable but very dark as small windows on ground floor of courtyard. Breakfast was a joke. Staff look like they have no idea what they were doing. Took15 minutes to take get a coffee and half an hour to get someone’s attention just to order some cooked breakfast. Overall, I think it’s an iconic hotel that is resting on it’s tourist reputation but not delivering anywhere near the standard that it should for the price point. Generally a little disappointing for something that should have been such a special treat.

Raffles has been a dream for me for most of my life and I booked to celebrate my 60th birthday and WOW!,what a celebration. All the staff at Raffles make you feel welcome and extra special for the duration of your stay making you feel like you are the only guest in the hotel. While housed in an historic building the hotel has been fully updated, providing impeccable quality accommodation with oversized rooms.
