This stay was a little more expensive than we wanted, but the host and resort made it worth the stay! They upgraded us rooms when I realized I missed the extra fees in the description, they provided stuff to avoid the extra fees (beach chairs and what not), and they really took care of us. The room needs some upgrades, but they told us it was happening at the end of the year and itâs sill better than a lot of places. I will be renting from this host again!
We rented a 1BR villa privately owned within a Marriott hotel. We felt we were treated like something other than an appreciated guest beginning with check in. We arrived at 3:30 for a 4:00 check in. Without even checking to see if our unit was ready (it was), the clerk abruptly told us we were private owners and we had to wait until 4:00. The upkeep of the hotel grounds was shabby as was the condition of the common areas. Also, because we weren't "Marriott guests", we weren't permitted to sit in "their" private beach area unless we paid a daily 40 fee. I strongly feel that this owner needs to make his case with Marriott's management. We will not be returning.
The Marriott Singer Island is a beautiful beach-front property. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our one-bedroom condo 'suite' which was very clean, comfortable, and had a nice view of the resort's lagoon pool from our balcony. Communication with the property manager was smooth as was the check-in process. Would definitely consider staying here again!
This property was great for a quick weekend getaway. The location was great for beach and close to grocery and restaurants. Our only complaints were the pillows on the bed are very flat and the shower leaks into the bedroom area. We were sure to put a towel down while showering to not get the carpet wet but it was almost inevitable.Other than that it was great stay!
Lovely room and fun place to stay with the kids! They really enjoyed the pool with water slide. We liked having the beach equipment with food service. Really relaxing and fun.
The condo was very nice and would use it again. On the other hand the Marriott Resort over charged our credit card. We are having trouble reaching someone at the resort to settle this problem. They charged us for an honors bar in which we did not have one. We purchased all of our snacks, drinks, etc at Publix grocery.
