Nothing fancy but comfy and a great value

This Econolodge is my go-to for a quick stop betweej Mpls enroute to the Black Hills. It's no frills but comfy and SO handy for I-90 traffic. It even has a small pool which I didn't use but looked fine. My rooms have always been clean and well equipped, although with prices this low one has to anticipate worn and shabby furnishings. To their credit, current owners have made great strides in cleaning up the property and making it more presentable, especially the public areas which used to seem quite run down. Is it safe? -- fun fact, on one trip I accidentally left my car unlocked and RUNNING all night. Nobody touched it.

We stayed at this property a few months ago and it was good. Recently stayed and it was like night and day. The roon wasn't close to the same. No clock in the room which is a must dor a traveler, breakfast was waffles and cereal.

Ok, 1st off let me say he asked me to write a review!! had me SCAN HIS QR CODE THEN says let me help you.. he hit ALL 5 ⭐'s on everything.. location service rooms.. So let me tell you about our stay. We checked into our room with a king size bed which is what we ordered.. but across the hall from us there was some loud and I mean really loud people.. with a dog that barked all night.( I called and complained multiple times they couldn't get them to be quiet eventually we changed rooms.) at about 11:00 we went up and really complained and was switched to another room.. room was clean and quiet so we were finally able to get to sleep super late.. I actually slept so well that we didn't wake up till almost check out.. but again we were up till late at night because of the noise across the hall from us.. The one other complaint I have is the HOT TUB didn't work.. so my thing is if you're going to rent a hotel and you have certain expectations like a hot tub or a pool call and verify there and working order.. but after the switch of the room everything was quiet. KING SIZE BED HARD AS ROCK.. QUEEN BEDS WERE MUCH BETTER.. OUTSIDE doors were all kept locked for security key card needed for opening

If you can afford it, stay somewhere else.

This hotel is seedy and dirty. We booked a room with a king bed and upon entering, there was a ladder in the room with a bunch of stuff thrown all over the bed. We were then out into a room with two queen beds. The hallway smells like weed and the parking lot is dimly lit and filthy. Trash and cigarette butts all over. Shady people hanging out in the parking lot. The room was dirty. There was grime all around the perimeter of the sink and mold on the ceiling above the shower. The lampshades were filthy and one of them was crushed. There were cracks in the walls and they were so thin you could hear every word the neighbors were saying. You could also hear every footstep from the floor above. The mattresses were hard, thin, and uncomfortable. Surprisingly the fridge was clean. At 5am there were two people swearing at each other in the hallway. If you want a good, comfortable, and clean place to sleep, this is not the place to be. It was overpriced for the condition it is in. I can't see how anyone could rate this place "outstanding." If you can afford it, stay somewhere else.

This hotel is not worth the money they charge. Except for the flooring the place is old and grungy. Cleanliness is barely a passing grade. The place smells of cigarette smoke and the tub/sink have cigarette burns. The equipment is also very old. I will pay more for a better place.

Not a safe place to stay

There was pot hid in the bathroom exhaust fan , mold on the shower curtain, dirty, no back cover to the tv remote. Managment was horriable and did not care of my concerns.
