The house is absolutely adorable. The host is not kidding when they talk about the cleaning service. This is the cleanest VRBO I have ever had. Everything was organized and neat. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and basic comfort things like coffee and tea. I loved the extra touches like the shampoo and conditioner in the showers. The house was also well stocked with towels and other needed linens. The hosts communication leading up to my trip and during my trip was quick and informational. Do not hesitate to rent this house. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back and see it in the summer!! we ended up only having four people in our group, but this could easily how it’s more people. And would be perfect for families as well.

This property matched with the photos/information provided. We had a great time and the house is cozy/well decorated and everything we hoped for a week getaway with our family! PROS:- cleanliness - dog friendly (baby gate and multiple doors to take outside)- large table upstairs for eating/playing games- living room space (upstairs & downstairs)- 3 arcade games for the kids- stocked kitchen (even has coffee & a closet with games)- plenty of towels and extra blankets- Tom/host was GREAT at responding to my messages in a timely manner.- location CONS:- It snowed a lot before we got there. The driveway was plowed earlier, but when we arrived around 4:00 we barely made it up the driveway. We were told the plow would come again, but he didn’t until the next day. So when we left for dinner we had to shovel ourselves out every time we got stuck! Luckily there was a shovel and salt by the front door.- Make sure to check the lint tray on the dryer. The amount of lint left looked like a small towel! - Kitchen lighting wasn’t the best at night and the light on the stove didn’t work. It was missing a lower cabinet door too. Luckily we didn’t have small children or a nosy dog. - Remote for heating unit in the downstairs bedroom didn’t have working batteries. Had to borrow from the other room. During the night the unit was flashing and we didn’t know how to make it stop (kid couldn’t sleep on top bunk because of it) so we just turned it off and gave him an extra blanket.

Enjoyable stay - we would return!

Property owner was responsive about the cold-weather challenges - for example, there were only two blankets for six beds, and the hot tub took almost a day to get to adequate temperature. But I understand these are cold weather challenges. We were able to enjoy our stay and stayed toasty warm by the fire!

Memorable Stay At Sister Bay

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in Sister Bay. Tom was excellent at communicating everything we needed to know about the property, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Our group of 6 was very comfortable, thanks to the spacious layout with two separate living areas. The younger adults loved having their private space downstairs, while my husband and I enjoyed the tranquility of our own space upstairs. The house is beautifully designed with an open floor plan that made it perfect for our group gatherings. We especially enjoyed the two outdoor patios, which offered a great spot to relax and take in the stunning surroundings. The kitchen was well-equipped and made cooking meals together a breeze. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the essential items provided—coffee, sugar, dishwashing tablets, and toiletries in the bathrooms. The selection of board games and the lovely hot tub were big hits with our family, adding to our fun and relaxation. We would highly recommend this home for a comfortable and memorable stay in Sister Bay!

We had a wonderful weekend at The Goat and Cherry in Sister Bay. The accommodations were perfect for a large group. Everyone loved the hot tub and fire pit! The communication from Tom was great and very helpful. We're planning our stay for next year!

Perfect Getaway

The pictures are a great representation of the property. Just off the main drag in Sister Bay, the location could not be beat. Tom was easy to communicate with and responsive to messages. Perfect getaway spot for a couple, family or group of friends.

We had a relaxing stay at this property! The property was clean and and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially loved the outdoor hot tub! The property is very close to shops and restaurants. My family would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay in Sister Bay

Enjoyed the home and the outdoor property/amenities as well. 4 BDRM home with plenty of space to be together both upstairs and on the main floor with two separate TV rooms available. Big kitchen/tv room upstairs with amazing fire place and plenty of room to all hang out together. Back yard had beautiful firepit and a wonderful hot tub with its own roll structure to add a bit more privacy as well. Working with Tom was incredible as he went above and beyond with his communication to make sure all of our needs and expectations were being met. I would absolutely rent this property from Tom again and can't thank him enough for making our family feel so appreciated and looked over.

Besties Week Retreat

Nothing bad to say about this place...some ppl nit-pick over the darndest things, but we thought this place was the bomb-diggetty! :) Everything you'd ever need was pretty much already there. The fire pit & gazebo covered hot tub was our high light. Much needed vaca for us girls & it did not disappoint... close to everything! Would definitely stay here again! Tom (the host) was very fast on responding to any of our questions also.

There are a number of things that could use attention in the house that an owner staying in the property would find needed fixing: a broken drawer in the kitchen that we put back together, closet doors that we adjusted to close better, a crank out window that would lose it's guide and not be able to crank back in, refrigerator filter that needed cleaning so it cooled properly and pushed out door screens. We were surprised that the air-conditioning is only in the upstairs living room, the rest of the house relies on windows and ceiling fans for cooling. That's a problem with the downstairs twin bedroom. It only has a door leading to a small backyard deck and doesn't have a screen door. The carpet in that room could use replacing with tile as there is a strong mildew smell, most likely from people accessing the house from the hot tub and dripping water onto the carpet. One of the twin bed mattresses could also use replacing as it dips in the middle. However, the house was a perfect size for our group, had a nice layout, a very nice large yard and superb location. I'm conflicted on submitting this review because the house overall was very nice and Tom was responsive to our need for more towels and replacing a nonfunctional ceiling fan. For the amount of money we spent, it could be five stars but needs some repairs besides the ones we performed.

Amazing stay!

Has a wonderful time here! The host was great with communication and left no question unanswered. The house was clean spacious for our larger group. Location is just outside of downtown Sister Bay was ideal. Would recommend anyone to stay here!

The Goat & Cherry has it all!

We had a wonderful stay at The Goat & Cherry in Door County, thanks to Tom of Get Away and Stay. The accommodations are amazing, from the spacious common areas and bedrooms to fun amenities like the fire pit and hot tub. We would stay there again.
