This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. The hotel is very clean. Fire pits were on most the day which was beautiful (since I often fall asleep before dark). The hotel is very tub was nice. Friendly staff/owner. Great place to stay!

Open Hearth is an older facility but very well maintained and clean for a very fair price. The staff was wonderful. We liked the location in Sister Bay, and we enjoyed the amenities such as Continental breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub, multiple fire pits and outdoor furniture. They even have umbrellas for a rainy day and bug spray available for use in the lobby.

We had a lovely stay at this property. We were impressed overall with the accommodations (VERY pet friendly), the continental breakfast and breakfast room was refreshing, and the grounds and rooms were spacious and well kept. We found the pool and hot tub area to be a tad dated, and a little lacking in ambience. Lounge chairs might have helped, and more wood in those areas would have made it seem not so sterile.

The writing said it was a continental breakfast, which it was. The motel had a pool, jacuzzi, fire pit you can use & various board games. They also have bags outside you can play. We would of liked the counter space a little more spacious by the sink. The motel was very good for the price we paid.

John the owner was super friendly and check-in was super quick. Front area was clean and had a warm fire in the fireplace when you come in. The Pool was small but the hot tub was nice. The dual outdoor gas fireplaces is what caught my attention in the online advertisements when booking. The owner was accommodating when adding a few small charges to our room for some drinks from the front counter and swag that we picked up for souvenirs.
