We had a big family (13) with grandparents, married adult children, and their teenage children. The house is big and the advertisement is incorrect because there are actually five toilets in the house, not three! Each bedroom has its own toilet, but two share a shower. Great house for space and visiting. When we checked in, we could not find a lockbox to open the front door so be aware itâs on the left side of the house by the owners closet outside under the eave. The kitchen was well equipped, but I had messaged ahead of time and asked if there was a crockpot and didnât hear back. We find itâs best to look at whatâs in the kitchen and then go grocery shopping anyway. The deck was nice and the furniture was comfortable. Also pretty views from the deck. Would recommend this house and would go back! Itâs not close to most Black Butte amenities but you can drive to them.
Overall great stay and communication. House has a couple of group areas. Downside is the lack of a bathroom that isnât attached to a bedroom. House is a bit dated but clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything a big group needs. Read your check out instructions carefully.
This is a great location that will allow inside and outside living to blend together. Well supplied with dishes and cooking utensils. Only comment we would make is that the rugs need a deep cleaning.
This house had a classic Black Butte Ranch funky cabin feel and was one of the best weâve seen for functionality! Full bedrooms on three different floors and bath and a half baths! Very comfortable space, easy check in, and great communication from owners and mgt co. Close to everything on the Ranch. No AC as is common for BBR⊠but will come back again for sureâŠ
If you're looking for a house with a certain 70s/rustic BBR charm, this is the place to stay. Includes record player with Fraggle Rock theme song, huge social couch and great deck area. The house sits right where most drives off the 7th tee land. The showers/bathrooms are outdated. All showers except one off the kitchen are shared by two bedrooms each.
The house is nicely located on the golf course but it's very funky with a lot of dusty clutter everywhere. Lamps, benches, extra chairs, fake plants and stuff never used. The kitchen was nice but 2 burners on the stove didn't work. Maybe previous renters didn't notify the caretakers. The living rm. carpet was very filthy and the furniture was old with no support. I'm sure it's a challenge to get a house cleaned in 4 to 5 hrs. for the next gang but, time should be made for deep cleaning at some point during a busy summer. Four old and ragged beach towels for a five bedroom house doesn't cut it either. Deck furniture was uncomfortable. No lounge chairs either. We ran out of laundry detergent too. The basement was pretty good but still very old uncomfortable furniture.
No air conditioning⊠which was ok. But the heat unearthed the smell of urine in the main area.
Poor. Did not receive the email to enter the property until we were thereâŠ1.5 hrs after check in.
The smells in the house were awful, like old animal pea.
The TVs did not work.
Only a couple old fans, so we were sweating every night.
The house is not updatedâŠbelongs in the 80âs still.
Way over priced for what you get.
I would not recommend this house. We want our money back.
This large home was perfect for our 3-family pod that included 6 adults and 6 kids. With 5 bedrooms that each have their own toilet (for a total of 5 toilets), and 3 showers (2 of which are jack and jill shared showers), there was plenty of space and privacy for all. The furnishings are charmingly dated but comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and large, and there is tons of light from the large wrap-around windows. Everything was very clean. We would definitely stay again!
It was a wonderful place to stay with our family and friends. There is enough space to spread out and also have community time together. It was cozy and peaceful. We played at the park, disc golf, and went sledding less than 30 minutes away. I would recommend this place to anyone with a group/family with around a dozen people. We would even stay there again!
The house definitely needed at least a couple more kitchen towels and at least one or two extra pairs of sheets. One bed had wood splinters in it and needed to be replaced. The pictures on the website made the house look much bigger than it was, but it was very adequate and quite cozy. Having a second 'living room' in the basement was a plus
