We were pleasantly surprised by our room. It was a family room which is probably why it was so spacious, and more importantly clean. My only moan would be breakfast is served between 8am - 9am. I personally think 8-10am would be more appealing but you canât please everyone all the time.
I cannot recommend Philmar guesthouse enough.
Lovely clean and very welcoming place
The landlady is lovely and very accommodating when we had some health issues that threatened us be able to go away.
She was absolutely amazing and very understanding.
The guesthouse is extreamly clean and homley
And the beds are amazballs comfy.
Would definitely stay there again.
I can not believe we have been treated the way we have. I have a 3year old whoâs autistic and a 1 year old boy Iâm a single mum whoâs terminally ill (I took my boys away on holiday and we were supposed to stay here.. (if you have children I wouldnât advise staying here at all) I arrived to check in was told that there was no smoking witch wasnât a problem& had been a confusion with the booking paid some extra money she also told me there wasnât room to accommodate us so we would have to share a bed well I had already paid at that point was also told no take aways so I agreed so we went up to our room we got there at half three and by four she had already come knocking on the door complaining about the noise and also told us that she had a bigger room so I took the warning on the chin and said thank you for her sorting us a bigger room out she took the kids out for food because she said no take aways even left the McDonaldâs under the pushchair down stairs anyways in the morning both boys wake up at 5 excited to out and do everything I wanted to do but was told to wait till 10 4 the room to be cleaned so she could move us so to keep them quiet i fed them food because they where hungry now kids are kids and will make a mess anyone has to understand that she gave us our room key for the other room at 11 came straight back down and said she was disgusted in the room I explained that he was autistic Right let me start off by saying I am absolutely fuming with this place I can not
