This being my first time using the booking app VRBO, I complicated my booking. The cabin owners were amazing and super patient with me and made up for my frustrations with the app. I booked the cabin for a couple weeks for a working vacation from Texas. The peaceful, serene cozy cabin environment was everything I needed to meet my overnight work needs and my off time sleep needs. Sleeping during the day was a worry until I arrived and fell in love with the cabin shades and slept great. The internet speeds and connections were better then what I have at home. Being from the area until 2022, the cabin provided the possibility of entertaining my coffee friends for catching up in my off time. I intend on revisiting the cabin on later trips to the area!! My only complaints have zero to do with the cabin, itâs a rustic cabin in Maine. I expect to see spiders when cooler weather arrives. They just wanna be warm too but I must admit a couple are no longer living in the cabin! The cabin greeter Kiwi was amazing to meet when my Grayson was napping but respected our privacy otherwise. I highly recommend Larry n Lisaâs cabin of coziness!
We enjoyed our stay at "The Cabin." The host was very approachable, and responded quickly to any needs we had, which were few. Such a quiet and peaceful place, with lovely views.
We rented this beautiful property and was able to go tag sailing be very comfortable in this big Lodge or at least it felt like a big Lodge it was a very wonderful time absolutely great post good time would recommend to anybody looking for a fun or even some peace and quiet!
The property was just as explained in the description. The host is very friendly and inquired on any needs we may have had when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and the property was clean.
This is a wonderful, cozy little cabin that is remote enough to be private and peaceful, but close enough to town to be convenient as well. Highly recommended!
In an age of "Live Laugh Love" vacation rentals -- every property a generic flip, done up in neutral tones and mass-manufactured message art -- it was so refreshing to enter the Cabin Skowhegan, where everything seemed like a real live person had put it there. The photos of local sites, sometimes captioned. The worn-in but sturdy and inviting furniture, arranged for comfort. The quirky mug collection, clearly someone's pride and joy, hanging around the dining area. Supplies and provisions exactly where you need them. This cabin is no frills but so lovingly appointed. I would definitely come back.
The location was great! Close enough to town to be convenient and far enough out to have a remote country feeling. We most likely will return. The cabin was rustic, which had it's charm.
Larry hosted us for a week with our dogs while we were on a house-hunting expedition. Larry was a perfect host; very attentive but allowed us our space. The Cabin is very cozy and while there is no kitchen sink, the property details disclose this so we were prepared. It was a wonderful stay!
Cabin was beautiful and simple. Sitting in the rocking chair and looking at the stars at night were the best parts. It was needed to destress and get away from the busy city life. Nice and quiet area.
The Cabin consists of one large room that includes a queen size bed, a trundle bed, a TV/lounge chair and couch, and a kitchen area with microwave, air fryer, coffee maker and fridge.
The air con works great and the cabin was fun. The on demand hot water heater works great for the shower.
