We didnât stay in this exact property but another one due to the access because of weather. The owner was very accommodating switching us to another property and the property was clean and perfect. It had everything we needed! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The cabin was nice inside. Appeared clean. The biggest problem was the large amount of beetle like bugs that were coming in. When waking in the morning had to sweep and after going out for the day and returning had to sweep again. The last night there they were everywhere, the floor, tv, bathroom. Not sure exactly where they were coming from. We also couldnât figure out how to use the tv. We ended up signing into our own streaming service and using that while we were there.
The cabin was infested with hundreds of ladybugs. We cleaned up hundreds of them in the afternoon, and even a few hours later, hundreds more were on the windows and floor. Then at night we found bugs even in our sheets and had a hard time sleeping because bugs would be crawling on us. It was disgusting. I contacted the property management and sent photos and they never even responded. I want a refund!
There were some items in need of repair, I noted them and the owner was going to get them fixed. We intended to be hiking quite a bit but it was raining and my wife injured her ankle, so we had to spend most of our time in the cabin. It isn't designed to be lived in full-time. The shower has no light inside, and it is too dark to see - had to use a phone flashlight even with bathroom light on. There just aren't enough things to do in the area if you can't hike, and the cabin isn't cozy enough to be lived in full-time. But it was certainly not bad, and had we had better weather and no injury it would have been perfectly fine.
AC wasnât working and tried to call and message management company and they never sent anybody. Hard to enjoy when itâs over 80 degrees in the cabin, could tell the cabin hasnât really been cleaned, floors were showing signs of rot. Driveway and make road are in very and condition
The stay was okay but there were some things that were broken and not working. When we arrived, the door handle was falling off/not fully screwed in. It took a little bit to finally figure out how to get in. It also smelled a little like pee once we got inside the property. Half the lights inside didnât work, especially in the loft. The blinds were broken in the loft. Only half the jets in the hot tub worked as well. It was hard for two people to fully enjoy it. The hot surface light indicator on the oven was on during our entire stay. The door being broken was a big issue and we didnât fully feel safe. After telling the property about the door when we arrived and all the issues when we leave, they just said âwe hope you enjoy your stayâ. No comment of we are so sorry to hear that or any other comments.
The cabin overall is secluded and nice except for the expressway nearby but that really didnât bother us much. The biggest issue was cooking supplies. We visit the Red River Gorge to getaway. We usually cook at the cabin we rent. That was very difficult here, no baking sheets, no grill cooking utensils, scissors, spatulas, and several other things. Again, the cabin was nice but itâs not well stocked so plan ahead.
As advertised. Cabin is close to everything and not isolated, but at the same time there was enough privacy for the hot tub and to enjoy the nice deck. Steep switchback driveway, but my little Mini was able to get up when wet. Room and shower area was low lighting but manageable. Fire pit only roomy enough for the two chairs provided since it is in a corner. Only 1 set out of the 4 jets worked, but still was happy since the ones working did work extremely well and eased sore back after a day of hiking.
Very relaxing. Thank you for decent beds because that makes all the difference. Just fyi the second step was slippery. Looks like it cracked awhile back. A mirror near a window for the ladies. But even if you donât address these things, Iâd still stay there again. Loved the loft deck.
Inside was cute and cozy.I recommend bringing towels. We had 5 towels supplied for 3 nights- to shower and use hot tub for 4 people. We also only had 4 forks and 4 spoons for the whole stay for 4 people, so had to wash in between each meal. No washer and dryer on site.Hot tub was dirty. You can see & hear the road and neighbors when outside for hot tub and fire pit.
