Property is awesome cabin is beautiful road in and out and parking are not trailer friendly. Communication with property manager is very easy to communicate with.
Communication was good, we received the code to check in the morning of our arrival, we had received communication about the property a few days before. Checking in was simple. The road to the property is narrow and winding. The driveway was when the trouble started, itâs very washed out and rough, my car bottomed out and spun trying to get up the driveway, I know theyâve had some bad weather so hopefully they had not had a chance to work on that. When we got inside everything was unplugged, including the refrigerator and the stove. The cabin itself was nice and as described. It appeared to be clean. The comforted on at least one of the beds is thread bare and Stained and needs replaced. The worst part of our trip was the hot tub. When we first got in there was hair floating in it, we scoped all of that out and let it run with the pump on for a while. Later when we got in we noticed a scummy layer around the sides. We used paper towels and cleaned that. We could smell the chemicals so hoped for the best. Big mistake! Now, everyone who got in the hot tub has a rash all over. I contacted them about our problems and their response was âthatâs weirdâ. No apology or anything. Location was nice, we were about a 20 minute drive from the trailheads that we wanted to hike. The reptile zoo was neat.
Here are some things that might need to be tended to for a more pleasant experience :
Mouse droppings in utensil drawers
Water pressure in kitchen & bathrooms very low
Driveway large pot holes
Lamps broken
Lightbulbs burnt out
Bed spread was thread bare
No remote for tv to access apps
Limited kitchen items for food prep
Not sure house was cleaned the day we checked in due to all the dead lady bugs
Sofa was broken and hard to sit on without falling off
Only 1 chewed up potholder and one dish towel
Beautiful cabin. Just needs some attention to details.
We enjoyed our stay. The floor plan was perfect for our family.
Communication with the owners was prompt. Check in very easy and clean up was simple request.
It would be great if the cabin were a little better stocked. The only food item in the kitchen was salt and pepper. Also there were no toiletries other than hand soap.
The Gorge is great, but the stay was a pain in the butt. The cabin was clean, but neither the WiFi or the TV worked. Not that it was a priority for most of the day. I was out enjoying the area. But after a long day, I wanted to relax on the couch. If it was listed as a property with no WiFi or TV, then ok. But it wasn't. They sent someone out to look at it, but it took over 3 hours. They eventually agreed to get me another cabin, but it was over 30 minutes away. Finding it in the dark was not easy. They tried to make it all right with a new cabin and a partial credit for the smaller cabin. However, that doesn't change the overall experience.
