Overall cute condo with incredible location. We enjoyed are stay immensely. The following items would be important to address for future renters.The bathroom ceiling had mold or mildew, plus cracked from water damage.The dishwasher did not work, so we had to wash everything a previous guest (or housekeeping) left behind. Because they had not been washed, there was an odor when the dishwasher was opened.Location of lock box for keys to enter could have been communicated better, but no issues with access once we found it.Likewise, parking pass was not immediately visible and required a little searching.Finally, condo was advertised as having beach equipment. Of the three chairs, two were broken.

We enjoyed the location of the house, just behind the dunes, the outdoor shower under the house, the two decks, and the functional kitchen and living area. The 2nd downstairs bedroom was very small, and we regretted the lack of closets to hang clothes and to store suitcases. The spiral staircase was so narrow that I had to empty my suitcase downstairs and carry it's contents up little by little. Even though here were 2 vents, there was no air conditioning upstairs, and it was hard to sleep at night because of the heat. That should either be fixed, or stated: "no air conditioning on the top floor." As a pianist, I brought a portable keyboard, and it was so hot up there that I had a difficult time practicing for an upcoming concert. Otherwise, we were happy with the house.

Memorial weekend Stay

Definitely not a terrible stay. However when I go on vacation I don’t expect to have to do housework when I arrive/depart. Washing dishes that I used I have no problem with but having to make the beds when I arrive and sweep/vaccum floors as a requirement is a bit unacceptable for the price we paid for the stay. In addition a 300 cleaning fee that should cover that, but we still had to sweep/vaccum and make the beds. Also the thermostat being locked to 74 when it’s the summer time and not being able to adjust it to be comfortable during our stay as a bit inconvenient. When opening the back sliding glass door we went to remove the wooden door stop and were stabbed in the hand by a screw because the door stop was a wooden picket from the rails on the porch, also the door handle screws were ran all the way through causing us to get stabbed once again. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were a few inconveniences.

Location is everything

We had 6 people in our party. 2 teens upstairs, on in the couch, 2 in bedroom downstairs and 2 adults in the primary. Pretty tight overall, but that was OK, as the main feature is the beach. The bathroom flooring was cracked, I noticed and sent a picture to the manager. They sent about a handyman the next day to take a picture and said they would fix it after we left. The next day, my spice cut the back of their foot on a nail that was sticking out in the deck. He was wearing sandals. They said someone would address it, but no one showed up. This would not be a good place if you have young kids, the spacing on the rails is too wide. Overall it was adequate for what we needed, the condition was tougher than what we expected.

Small but nice

The pictures made it look much bigger than it actually was, but it was still nice and met our needs. The kitchen was nice, and had some nice pots, pans, etc. We delayed checking in via a text after 4:30 not to come to the property because of cleaning and didn’t receive a text for the all clear to come out. After an hour we chanced it. We enjoyed our stay and our son loved the upstairs. Was a few hassles but we still really enjoyed our stay

All about the waves

This place is all about location! The pictures were accurate but I still didn’t realize how close to the beach we were until we got there. You could hear the ocean waves even at night with the windows closed!! North topsail was so much more peaceful than surf city or topsail.

Family Beach Vacation

We stayed here for a week as a family of 6 and had a fantastic time. While the indoor space isn’t spacious, it’s completely adequate and we were fine even on the day where rain kept us all indoors. There is a linen package you can rent that includes all the sheets, bath towels and washcloths, and kitchen towels you need. I’d recommend reaching out to Sea Coast Rentals before you book to see the various options of things you can rent, for instance we also rented a grill and propane tank for pretty cheap. The listing is a little confusing on beds, so to clear it up, the lost space is a single room with a door and full bath. It had a queen and twin sized bed. There’s the primary bedroom with a queen bed, and a very small bedroom beside it with a double bed. The couch also pulls out to a full sized bed, though we never used it. The mattress in the primary bedroom is very comfortable! We also loved that it had its own balcony. Both balconies have staircases that take you to the garage space where you’ll find the outdoor shower and washer/dryer. When we were there we also found a couple beach chairs, lots of sand toys, an inflatable tube, some water toys, and a boogie board in the storage area. You do need to bring your own paper products, but also found that there was plenty of hand soap and a few rolls of tp left. Proximity to the beach was the best part, and it’s a quiet stretch with few other people around.

Beach Time

The check in process was easy and the management company is very responsive. This property is on the beach, which is what we wanted. The dune bridge is literally 20 steps from the bottom stair of the unit. Be aware it was tight for 4 of us, but comfortable in the same light. The kitchen had what we needed. There was not a grill for this unit. Beds and bedrooms were ok. The loft area with room for 3 does get quite warm. I gave this a 4 overall because of the fruit flies and you have to make your own bed on arrival. We did have a shower drain blockage one the last evening we were there. I want to highlight the responsiveness of the management company. They sent someone fast. Great customer service. Thanks.

GREAT PLACE!!!

We had an amazing time at Topsail and this location was perfect! Very short distance to the beach and to Seaview Pier. Very picky on parking but, rules are rules! The skylights in the place make for a hot afternoon in the house, bring some fans! We will definitely stay here again.
