Be weary there is no exact location listed on the rental to put in your gps, on top of the fact there are multiple "mountain lodges" on snow shoe. Be sure to look at your check in and out time because you don't even get a full day, the mountain closes at 4:30 and your not "allowed" to ask the front desk to get in your room before 5pm and that time is not even guaranteed. The room was clean but there were what looked to be glitter stains on the mattress, which isn't the end of the world but defiantly made me wonder. Also be ware your master bedroom has an exterior window to the hallway where everyone is passing through with all there gear on so you won't be sleeping in. They also say that from your balcony you can ski in/out... unless you want to break your ankle jumping out of the balcony that far from true unless I guess it snows 12' then maybe. All in all for what we paid I'm certainly let down, we drove 5 hours one way and after that you'd expect to open you app and have clear instructions but just finding the lodge was frustrating really setting the tone for our experience. If it was cheaper id have no issues but scraping almost 300 after it is all said and done lets just say id rather a hotel at the point. I did not reach out to the host for the simple fact that we had 1 day there and I wasn't gonna waste my limited time on that, we made the best of situation, like I said it was clean but for all the travel we've done thats the bare minimum.
We had made a mistake in our rental dates, but Jonathan was extremely helpful. It just so happened that he had another rental that would accommodate us. He communicated well and went above and beyond, when we had made the mistake. The location is perfect! Thanks again!
Property was in a great location within walking distance to shops/dining. It was clean and had everything we needed. Make sure to take coffee/filters or Keuring pods. You can purchase at front desk but pricey.
The room itself was okay. It was annoying that it was directly in front of an arcade which was loud and obnoxious. The bed was pretty uncomfortable. The view was great but the balcony was pilled with snow so you couldnât be out on it. Unfortunately, they must have had a guest that was smoking in it because it had a terrible cigarette smell. I was frustrated that I wasnât aware that it was not affiliated with the mountain so it made getting lift tickets and mountain info was a bit of a hassle. The slopes were easily accessible which was nice to have and the desk clerks were very pleasant. For the cost, in comparison, it wasnât the worst but I will likely book elsewhere for my next snowshoe trip next year.
Convenient to everything. Only thing it needs is another mirror in there somewhere. We never hear from owner a lil email welcoming us or thanking us for staying wud be nice. We are repeat guest and love ot there. Nice bathroom update.
We loved our stay in Mountain Lodge 162! It was a cozy condo with a wonderful view of the mountains and lake. The lodge was family friendly and convenient. The condo had many updates including new flooring and a renovated bathroom and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. They even had a pack and play for our toddler! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again this summer to check out the warm weather activities in Snowshoe.
Nice and clean condo located conveniently near the slopes. It felt safe and had a nice view of the lake. Only downside is the roku tv instead of dish, but that is a preference.
This was a perfect base 'camp' for our 5 day autumn stay at Snowshoe. Within walking distance of all the action, but a quiet spot with a beautiful view. One oddity is the joint balcony with the condo next door- but they weren't onsite these days. We just weren't sure if we should use the table and chairs which were on 'their' side. The kitchen is short on counterspace and free cabinets- so if you plan to actually cook for 5 days- be prepared for this. (the table was our dry food storage) Oh, and be tall- the cabinets and utensil drawers are a bit high. The only thing missing for me was a measuring cup and spoons, which I'm sure can be easily remedied by the owner, or the cook with good guestimates. The bed and couch were comfortable and the TV was well positioned. The ceiling fan in the bedroom is very effective! Everything in the bathroom worked fine. I love the convenience of a door code rather than a card or key that can get lost. The dedicated parking lot is great! My husband and I would stay here again.
Absolutely precious and great location within Mt. Lodge. Host was great. Just be aware the bedroom is very small. Lots of closet space, but no room to put a large suitcase full of ski gear for just one adult in the room. Could not imagine two! The view is amazing and I recommend this as long as you pack light!
The condo itself was pretty nice. A bit high priced for what you can get in the other snowshoe facilities. The pool being an extra fee is kind of ridiculous.
Dishes were still in the dish washer from the previous person who stayed there and a lot of the dishes were dirty. Due to this we are out. All of the blankets and comforters wet dirty. The master bedroom comforter had someoneâs boot print on it. Luckily we brought our own. Floors were clean but the smell of the cleaning products were a bit overwhelming. We travel a lot so we had candles to mask the pine sol (not sure if that is what it was) smell. Internet was fast but that was really the only thing updated in the mountain lodge.
The common areas were gross and the smells of everyoneâs dinner was bad. The constant running from kids on ski trips with their church/school at 10pm was annoying. I just wish the building was cleaner. I felt like I was walking into a motel that had not been updated since the 60s but for us we were there to snowboard so we tried to ignore it. I marked the property cleanliness a 4 because it just felt a bit unpolished but the mountain lodge building would be a 1 or 2. Add some light is the hallways. They were dark and smelled.
Btw Iâve stayed in plenty of snowshoe properties and the only one worse is top of the world. The mountain lodge is a close second.
It is a very nice one bedroom, unfortunately we had no water in the morning of Christmas Day. Without water, we didn't have shower for an couple of days, and had to go out for using the bathroom during really cold nights. It was terrible experience. I kept calling the office and we didn't have water before checking out. I also have been trying to contact with the property manager, no one call me back.
My sister and I booked it less than 2 weeks away from the trip date. The location is conveniently close to the village and perfect for ski in/out. No complaints!
