We visited the area to attend the Celebration of Life services for my Dad. Family members came in from across the country. This location was perfect for conveniently attending the services and reuniting with local families and friends. The property was comfortable and welcoming.
Property was perfect for our two families and 5 total kids. Weather and conditions were not so great but the house provided enough room and space to occupy our time while it rained outside.
If you are looking for a cozy getaway and are not going to ski much, this is the perfect home. The loss of a star (4/5) rating is solely based on the walking distance from the parking lot to the property which was a challenge for older family members. That aside, the beds were super comfortable and all the standard supplies were plentiful. It was great to have so many full bathrooms (3)âŠand the Mountain View was amazing!
No where in the listing is there any mention of steps to access this unit. There are TWO flights of steps with a long landing in between, and then a walkway to the steps to enter the unit. A LOT of steps and walking, multiple trips, to go from your car to the front door. There is a photo of the steps "buried" in the photos of the unit in between a photo of the slopes and a playground. It should be in the very front of the photos so renters can see exactly what they will need to do. ALSO, there is no one to clear the walkways and steps of snow and ice.On our checkout day, the steps and walkways were covered in ice that was 3" thick in places. One of our guests fell and hit his head! I can't begin to describe how terrible the conditions were. There is no one on-site or no clearing service hired to handle any type of snow and ice condition. There were multiple 10" wide x 5 foot long icicles handing from the roof above our doorway which we had to break off to prevent someone from being injured or killed. In all our years of renting units, I have NEVER seen such a total disregard for the renters' safety. We were provided a small bag of ice melter. I guess we were supposed to handle the entire area ourselves with that. I will gladly provide photos of the steps and walkways for anyone interested. Also, the shuttle stop is quite a distance away, not walkable with children and ski equipment, especially in boots. The mention of walking to the slopes is erroneous also. Stay elsewhere!
Location worked well fof skiing. It fit 10 of us nicely (2 families). Main hiccup was the heat in one of the bedrooms would not shut off and even with windows opened it was too hot to sleep in the room.
