The room was dirty and the doors lock didn’t work. It was also on a busy street so lots of traffic and noise. We left and went to a different hotel. The manager would not give us our money back. I Do NOT recommend this place. Can’t say anything about breakfast because we left.

Overall, a good option to stay at in Sonora. The one item that was a bit annoying was the quality of the WiFi service. There were two WiFi routers to choose to log in but both provided horrible quality WiFi service. Given that in today's environment, WiFi and internet access has become something that most people rely heavily upon, a better WiFi service option is something that hotels should provide.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I researched Gunn House with the help of AI and was fascinated by the history of this 175 year old building. The room was clean. All the Furnishings in my room were antique and I would love to have taken all of it with me. The layout of the hotel is a little confusing. I had a difficult time finding my room at first. If your physically challenged by high steps and steep staircases you may want to choose another Hotel. The breakfast was excellent.

I don’t write negative reviews often. And this isn’t to slam the property just an FYI, and do better kind of review… first, the guy who checked me in was falling asleep as he checked me in… this was about 4pm. Second, sheets were clean? But had hairs all over them… third, towels were not visibly clean, after seeing the bed I cautiously approached the towels… there were little hairs in them. I can handle hair… but then I opened up one of the bath towels and it had brown streaks in it… I did not mention to staff because I figured “new” towels would probably be same condition… like I said do better. Historic and dirty are two different things.
