We did not even stay. We arrived and the lobby smelled of weed, got to the counter and the lady said we just drained the pool outside. Drove around to our room and seen broken windows held together with tape. We went in the room and it smelled like dirty socks. There were boogers on the wall in the bathroom. We went back to the front desk and she said you will have to take it up with Expedia. Called Expedia and spoke to someone and they called the hotel. I was on hold 25 mins before the phone clicked and nobody was there. Expedia tried to call me back twice and when I would answer the phone would click and hang up. This property was not even what was pictured on Expedia.

I booked this hotel expecting a clean and comfortable stay, but what I walked into was nothing like what was advertised. The name of the hotel had changed to “The Clover?" Or maybe "Wingate” without any notice of the 2 names and from the moment we stepped inside, we were hit with a terrible smell. We were sent to a room in a far-back building, completely separate from the main hotel. The area felt isolated and unsafe. The room itself was disgusting: the sheets were stained, a new and equally unpleasant smell, and the noise from nearby rooms made it nearly impossible to relax. It honestly felt like we were being shoved into the worst corner of the property. There was zero care for cleanliness or comfort, and the whole place felt mismanaged and neglected. I would strongly warn anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. This was a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the money.

From the moment I got there, I was wary. The photos posted online were enhanced far more than hotels usually do, making it look completely different/better than it actually is. The person at the front desk was nice, but I got to my room and it smelled like mildew. When I went to shower, there wasn't much water, and what water there was didn't drain. The bottom of the shower looked absolutely disgusting. After I showered, my feet were dirty just from walking around the room for a few minutes. I went to bed, and due to the very thin walls and loudest air conditioning unit ever, I could not sleep. I tried to cancel and get the money back for the rest of my stay, but of course they refused. It was such a bad experience, I went to stay at a different hotel for my trip. You get what you pay for, but this hotel should not be an 8/10.

Entering and exiting was great. Hotel was accommodating to our needs for a meeting place for a baseball dinner. Staff was pleasant and worked on getting things fixed or moving to make the client happy.

Very good. Need Wingate sign at the hotel. It said “The Clover”. I figured it out. Very competent person at the desk. He handled multiple issues at once. You need grab bars in the bathroom. Bath tub floor slippery. Grab bars inside the shower too. I will definitely stay there again.

We had to stay here unexpectedly when other plans fell through when we were on the road. The property and room appear fine, but the issue was the horrible musty smell in our room. It was also very warm, despite adjusting the A/C. We only needed a few hours to quickly get some sleep so we could get on the road again, so we didn’t make an issue of it.
