We just spent a week at this cottage and loved every minute of it. I have been coming to the Cape every summer since I was a kid and have stayed in many houses all over the Mid-Cape.
For this summer, I was looking for a house within easy walking distance to the beach on the outer shoreline. I also wanted it to be dog-friendly. This cottage checked all the boxes and more. It was well-stocked with all the useful kitchen supplies. Towels and bed linens were clean, ready, and waiting for us. There’s a binder of instructions and tips on the dining room desk, so look for that (we didn’t notice it until we were packing up to leave :) We only needed food and bottled water to get through the first night. The location is convenient to grocery stores, CVS, Dunkin (!), and plenty of restaurants.
The beach was small, but nice and we had plenty of room to spread out each time we went (no need to get there super early). There were lots of shells and interesting stones to explore. The beach is flanked on either side by private beaches, which was actually great because they were mainly empty and offered long quiet walks along the water. The only negative was the large amounts of seaweed on the beach and in the shallows. There apparently is no town raking/removal. Not a big deal, but something to note.
Choose this cottage without hesitation. Definitely a great spot!
