Lots of wildlife across the river from the house. We saw a mountain lion with her 3 cubs for several days. And a rather large Bear cam to drink from the river most evenings.
Location to town and the view from the back porch was amazing. ButâŠcommunication from host is not great because it has to go through a 3rd party first. We had asked about type of coffee maker a week before the trip and never got an answer. When we arrived it looked like people were in the middle of cleaning and left. There was a dirty broom out and the master dresser was pulled away from the wall with stuff on the ground like they had been working behind it and the console table in the living room was also pulled out from the wall like they had been working on it. It was also very dusty on the floor and there were lots of spider webs and bugs on the tops of the walls like they had not been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom upstairs also looked like it had not been cleaned and looked like there was black mold on the ceiling in multiple places. Overall our stay was good, but I expected the place to be cleaner and more put together when we arrived.
The cabin was nice and the amenities were appreciated. However, the upstairs TVs did not work the entire stay, and there were cobwebs in the windows inside and on the outside deck area. Mowing and weed eating the beds would have made the cabin look so much nicer. However, we would love to be able to stay at this location again. The river was very peaceful and the garage was a wonderful addition. We loved the games provided and the ease of contact through text message when any issue surfaced.
This is one of the best options in South Fork! It is close to town with a private river lot. The home is very clean and Iâve never had an issue staying here.
The property was very clean and comfortable in the common areas and upstairs. The property outside was clean and well maintained.
It should be noted that there is no full bathroom or bedroom downstairs. There is a half bath downstairs, and a bunk bed room. The master bedroom, and all showers are upstairs.
Overall we had a great time.
Could use the screens removed and cleaned. The same cobwebs were in the windows that were there last year only worse. Windows also need a cleaning inside/out. Windows wonât stay open on own. Wes adjustments. Had to prop them with books. House gets warm with no ac. Light switch in Master Bed has a short. Shocked one of us when tried to adjust the light. Last zone of sprinkler system under deck has a huge leak. Sticks for adjusting blinds are missing/broken. Some of the lights in living room donât work. Other than these the place was great.
Wonderful stay in the Landen cabin! Had a great time. Relaxing time on the back deck and enjoyed the river flowing right off the deck. Cabin was very comfortable and homey. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook any meal! Beds were all comfortable. Beautiful decor in every room. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying here again.!!!
House was perfect for our needs.
Bunk room and 1/2 bath are downstairs.
3 bedrooms and 2 full baths are upstairs.
Everyone said their bed was comfortable.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
House backs up on to the Rio Grande river and has a great front and back porch.
Skiing at Wolf Creek was about 25 mins away. Nearby restaurants were all good (Mountain Pizza, Ramonâs and Chavalos)
We had a great time and look forward to coming back
This cabin was quite cute and had everything we needed. There was no air conditioning. Which is probably noted, but upstairs was quite warm in the daytime. However we wasnt there much in daytime as there was too much adventure to be had. We never did get the tv in the master to turn on and couldn't get the dishwasher to run. My pillow dropped behind the bed and once retrieved it came up with so much stuff stuck to it. Behind the bed hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time. We had to call vacasa to get wifi password. All in all no big deal.
