Nice location right on the beach. We had an oceanfront room which was nice with a toddler for going to the beach. There were lots of beach chairs even for a holiday weekend you did not have to wake up early to get a good spot. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas provided without a fee. You get towel cards for towels. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. It’s great that there is a restaurant on property and a small lunch place that serves hotdogs/hamburgers/salads/drinks/ beer. Overall great stay although I do wish they would clean the rooms without having to call every morning if you want service. I found that the front desk was very responsive to any requests we had such as extra waters or when we did call to have room cleaned.

Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised

I booked this hotel hoping for a relaxing, beachfront getaway, especially since it was marketed as recently renovated. Unfortunately, aside from the nice landscaping and convenient beachfront location, my experience was far from what was promised. There was hair all over the tub, walls, and bathroom floor, clearly left from the previous guest. It was obvious the tub and walls hadn’t been properly cleaned. The room doors were sticky and dirty, with peeling paint. It looked like they were just painted over rather than replaced or properly refinished. Closet issues – Several hangers in the closet were broken There was an iron in the room, but no ironing board. The pool area had standing water all over the floor and didn’t feel clean or welcoming. The fire detector in our room was beeping and flashing all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The service was the worst part. The front desk manager was unhelpful, dismissive, and never smiled. Anytime I asked a question or made a simple request, the answer was a flat-out “no.” I brought up all of these issues during checkout, including the sleepless night caused by the beeping detector, but received no apology or resolution. I’ve stayed in other nearby hotels like Bayside and Sunbird, which truly feel like resorts. Sadly, this hotel didn’t come close, despite its great location.

This is an older renovated resort. The pools there are large! Even the indoor pool. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the interior is well decorated and clean. We had a beachfront double queen room. The view and bed mattresses were awesome! The beach was nice and clean but we never made it down there as it was a little too cool and we did a lot of sightseeing. I will definitely stay there if I ever go back to Cape Cod.

The front desk check in was excellent and Elias and is very professional and personable. Disappointed how the dining room has not adjusted their menu since Covid. It’s time to update. Been coming to the RJB since 1982 so would definitely qualify as a loyal guest.
