First night wasnât great cold room but 2nd night they moved us to a garden room which was much better.
Lovely gardens to sit and relax the bathrooms and bedroom are rather tired but ok for the price
No parking on arrival all spaces had been taken so bear this in mind as I was expecting there to be a space. I was able to park on the currently unoccupied care home next door however, this is shortly up for auction.
Beds were unfortunately not comfy at all and the pillows lumpy.
The bathroom sink was electrified! Electric shocks when touching the taps and even getting shocks off the water when it was coming out of the taps.
Stayed for 2 nights and woke up on the second night at 1am by banging and music being played. I really didn't want to listen to Dolly Partons greatest hits at this time of night.
Unfortunately this "hotel" needs an awful lot of money spent on it to get it at least safe if nothing else.
I don't like leaving negative reviews but when it comes to safety I felt I needed to write this. I made the lady aware on reception about the "shocking" plumbing.
It was all fine. Just what I needed for the budget I had. The reception were brilliant as I was arriving late about where to get my keys. Very clear instructions. No problems.
Best part was the comfy bed, đ had a good nights sleep. Worse part was the state of the bathroom and bedroom. Needs plenty of TLC in fact it all does. Hotel advertising bar but it was closed on arrival at 2.30pm and after going out to explore Southport, the hotel was in darkness at 9.30pm so no night cap then đ but for the price, we got what we paid for
I knew this was a cheap hotel so had low expectations. The lady on reception was pleasant, the location was quiet and there was free parking. However, the room was really awful. Net curtains that were laddered and didnât cover the windows. Mouldy, thin outer curtains. A bathroom with mouldy, cracked tiles and a dirty bathmat you wouldnât stand on. Bedding from the 1980s which did not look clean and my daughterâs sheets were stained and had black hairs on. Lumpy pillows. We went to the show we had booked to see and drove straight home without staying.
Dirty smell on arrival room was dated not very clean and cold heating wasnât on and no hot water a small oil radiator was there but insufficient for the room the hot water came through about 8 in the morning but was bearly hot enough for a show
Never been so cold in a hotel in my life . Heating was turned off at night had to sleep in my clothes .as wall heater was terrible . Also room needed a good hover floors were filthy
Ground floor no good for diabled or elderly. Loads of steps.ok for a odd night.sheets and duvet cover only changed once in a month.cover smelt musty and sheet was damp.had to buy my own sugar and toilet rolls and milk.as only gave if had breakfast. People were knocking on room door and window in early hours.just shrugged when i told her.mo food on at night.and takeaway people cant get in to deliver..bed hard.ok for a odd night.drains stink when you flush toilet.cold in room as heating on a timer.refused another heater.steps to front are bad.but they dont say any steps.no shower..not good for more than 1 night. Nor for disabled or elderly.socket lose on wall..done nothing when told.
No hot water- at best it was warm after running the tap for quite a long time. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and the duvet rather on the small side.
