The property was amazing. The house was big & open. Plenty of space for us. The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean, and our only suggestion would be to make sure the vent in the 1/2 bath is cleaned, and the base boards in the full baths be replaced. They’re very rusty. Other than that it was prestine. It was perfectly located for our trip! Thank you!

We and our friends had a fabulous time during our stay here! Such a lovely, clean, quiet, spacious yet cozy space to land each evening after adventures in and around Boothbay Harbor. We cooked each night in the kitchen and on the grill. Played games at the large dinner table. And visited, laughed, and relaxed on the comfy sofas and chairs. Perfect long weekend away.

Fantastic property for a family stay

This property was wonderful! Great location for exploring Southport Island and nearby Boothbay Harbor. Well appointed, comfortable, felt immediately at home. The kids loved the bunk room and the ping-pong table in the basement. Comfy beds and really nice laundry machines. We would definitely stay here again!

Pictures tell most of the story. Typical vacation home clearly just an income property turned over to a property manager for day to day upkeep. This is the MOST I've ever payed for "host fee" and "service fee".

We really enjoyed our time at the house and Southport. Walk to “Maine” version of a beach, and very close to the towns shopping/food/activities at the harbor.

Return trip to Southport

Property needs some love. There were 2 coffee pots and both were broken. We did manage by purchasing a coffee pod at the store to get the Keurig to somewhat work. The bath tub upstairs would not hold water because the drain stopper is broken. Drains were slow to drain throughout the house. Trash was 3/4 full upon arrival and a critter was dumping the cans every night. By the time we left we were stacking trashbags in the cellar. Not sure if the gas grill was for us to use but there was no gas, not even a propane bottle to go fill. The deck was a little more run down than the first time we stayed there. The lot next door was grown up. We found a volleyball/badminton net covered up out there. We did stand it up and mowed the grass with the manual reel mower we found in the basement. One of the living room chairs was missing the seat cushion, limiting seating for 8 people. Just very disappointing the condition of things for the price we paid. We chose this location because of how nice it was a few years back when we stayed and brought our whole family to enjoy it with us this time. Disappointed in the upkeep of the property. No heat or hot water

The heating system wasn't operating when we arrived. We were given portable heaters by the property manager after 10 P.M. They only raised the inside temperature to the mid-60's. We were without hot water until 4 P.M. until we were relocated. We were not offered adequate compensation for these missing living necessities and we were relocated to a house of lesser value and not compensated for the difference, despite our numerous complaints. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with Vacasa.

Weekend getaway

Spacious, clean. Nice deck although it was rainy/overcast so we couldn't really use it. Had some outdoor games we could bring outside. Very easy checking and out and was just a short drive to boothbay.

Nice Private Getaway

It had been 20 years since I spent time in Mid Coast Maine and this place brought me right back. Not much has changed. Clear cool nights on the deck with a sky full of stars, day trips to Monhegan Island, Boothbay Harbor, Pemaquid Beach and lighthouse were all enjoyed by our family of 5, plus dog (she loved playing fetch on the property!). Local beach was awesome, high tide is a treat with rock jumping, and the market was well stocked with anything you need and fresh eats. Also spent a day at the botanical gardens, only 10 minutes away. Overall a great place and trip, exactly as described.

A private getaway close to town

Located a short drive from Boothbay Harbor, this property was well appointed, clean and large enough for all of us. The outdoor area was nice for the kids to play and the adults to sit back and relax. The bedrooms were large with a first-floor master suite. It was quiet and private but civilization was just down the road. The kids enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys wandering through the property. I would recommend renting this property

Nice getaway off season

Was pleasantly surprised with the location and size of the property. Basically looked like the online photos. A few things for improvement would be a revamping of the pots as some of them were beyond their use. Also, the mattresses in the bunk room and one of the other bedrooms need an update. Other than that, the home was a perfect size for our two families- 8 people in total. We would definitely rent this home again!
